As in Al Shafi is the one that’s always been known as (well, accused of being) Hamas’s HQ. The one that got bombed today is an Anglican hospital that I’d be surprised if they said was now Hamas’s HQ.

They haven’t got the strength or the military to fight nowadays not that they had before, it’s the Iranian proxy groups like Hezbulha that are a concern, they are powerful and well armed having had a few years to rebuild and train, I’ve found out today that there are a lot of North Korean weapons in circulation at the moment

Which is absolutely your prerogative, nothing you’ve said there disputes any of the evidence they’ve put themselves though which is them trying to prove rather than believe something.

Not saying I agree with their conclusion by saying that either btw, my argument is more against being able to make a conclusion from it rather than what you’re saying though.

Badr-3 has around 300-400kg of explosive, similar to a mid-sized JDAM and Palestinian groups are known to have them although not sure if Hamas themselves have access.

Not to say that is what caused it, but rockets that can destroy a building do exist within Gaza.

I’m not on it but the bollox I see on here makes me realise that it’s a sewer and wading through it is an absolute nightmare.

I’m not on it either.TBH this is the only internet platform I’m on.
I get my news from RTE and Virgin One over here. Neither of which have confirmed the origin of this strike.

I can’t even open these X or Twitter tweets most of the time and I don’t try.

I don’t know who is behind this latest atrocity but it’s still sickening to see on the news. You don’t see Hamas interviewed on the news and it’s obvious why. They are lunatic fundamentalists anyway, who wants to listen to them. And who could doubt they would be well capable of any atrocities against Palestinians or Israelis.
Unfortunately though I have got the same sickening feeling listening to any official from the Israeli government. These are recognised diplomats representing a country that I realise has suffered a sickening atrocity that triggered this reaction, but I get no confidence listening to any of them so far.

I’ll await, independent confirmation of the facts, because whether they are correct or not, unfortunately I have no trust in any of them.

What they said they would do, is happening, but they are denying that it was them. Doubt is understandable.

They cannot deny the humanitarian catastrophe that will unfold before our eyes in Gaza however, but I have just seen Israeli representatives do exactly that saying the power and water has been restored and there is no crisis, and anyway it’s Hamas’ fault .

Innocent Israeli people suffered an appalling terrorist attack, of that there is no doubt. However the rest of the country are not now going to be starved as a result.
By next week mothers and children are going to start dying in Gaza from disease from consuming dirty water because many medical people in the country have confirmed that no clean water is flowing from taps.

There is no de-escalation happening even with Biden arriving tomorrow.
Arab leaders pulling out of meeting him.
This is not good.
Worrying times.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad were supplied with Badr-3 and Fajr-3 MLRS by Iran. They used the former in 2021.

Since we can't confirm what rocket was used in the attack, we must also not dismiss the possibility that PIJ misfired one of their own. They DO have rockets that can cause that much damage.

amazingly the other day Hamas blew up a trailer killing 70 women and children and again that was nothing to do with the IDF - no siree nothing to see here.

As I said the other day Israel are in danger of burning up their goodwill here.

Heard an expert on subterranean warfare ( Uni Prof yes they do exist ) and she had some very interesting views on the Gaza subway. I think the two big problems they will have are

1/ Like Ukraine Hamas will see an invasion and fight like a bastard and to the death - do Israeli reservists have the same resolve?
2/ Hamas may not come out and fight - just let the IDF pass over them and attack from the rear when they do come out.

In either event even if they defeat Hamas Israel have set out years and years and years of attacks - abductions and hurt. They are now going over the top and have yet to launch a ground attack.
