When we tried to sign Kaka, for once, one member of the gutter press got something right. 'Kaka is a cherry for the top of a cake that hasn't been baked yet.'

Barry, De Jong, Kompany, Boateng.... Milner? These are the players who will be solid who can be the engine room for whichever flair players we eventually attract.

Exactly

Is Weiss not ready for your team yet if you don't get Milner? He looked a very good prospect a year or so ago. Will he stay on loan?
As someone who has a few mates that have come through the acadamy into thw first team and as a friend of vlad I know he wants to play for city first and if he can't do that he will go out on loan but not to bolton thts for sure. As ur a and evertonian darker shade how do u think rodwell will do nxt season?

I watched Weiss when he played in the Youth Cup and he was outstanding, but possibly a little greedy.

Looking forward to seeing him play in the World Cup.

I can't see him going out on loan again - not in the Summer anyway as we will be in 3 Cup competitions. He is one of those few players who gets you out of your seat when he has the ball at his feet. Very gifted, but still very lightweight which matters in the Premiership. Behind AJ & SWP, and he may find it difficult to break into the City team if Mancini ditches the wingers system. Maybe that he can develop a passing game to go along with is dribbling skills. If so then he might be able to play behind the strikers

I'm surprised no-ones posted here after the USA game.
Oh hang on...

I don`t know whats wrong with Capello ! he didn`t give Milner a fair chance
He was very obviously out of sorts, be that because of the virus (or not) & so badly off the pace of the game he would have got himself sent off very quickly, so replacing him was a good thing IMO. Not so sure replacing him with SWP was such a great idea though.

I think the virus mixed with the altitude got to him personally.
