I dont understand where the "hes crap", "hope he doesnt come" comments are coming from.
Hes a fantastic player and I for one would be happy for us to pay the 25mil. Yes the price is inflated due to a number of reasons but look at it from potential point of view....
Hes 24 years old, English and has played over 200 prem games making him vastly experienced to our league. He can play in a number of positions and play in them all consistantly well
He had his best season last year where he was nothing short of excellent in both assists/goals. He hardly ever gives the ball to the opps and is not shy of tracking back, working hard or getting stuck in.
Also, as stated hes 24 and getting better and better, that 25mil could bag us one of the best english midfielders whos on top of his game for the next 6 years by which time someone may give us 10mil for him therefore costing us only 15mil for excellent long service.
Of course it could all go horribly wrong as any transfer is a gamble of sorts, however id say Milners odds of being a flop are considerable small.
