Forget Milner and Arteta, here is the guy .....

I should imagine Milner's pretty much a done deal really. I can't see him being at Villa next season at all. His head has well and truly been turned and until they get the £20,000,000 - £30,000,000 transfer fee that he will cost then I cannot see AV strengthening their team too dramatically. I can see Martin O'Neill getting the fee for Milner as his transfer kitty to reinvest / strengthen their team.

i think coach will pick milner above arteta due to homegrown rule but arteta would have been a quality addition in MF , he has an eye for defense splitting passes. Lets see how this one pans out.

Was reported at noon on SSN that Villa had agreed a deal for McGready from Celtic and are in talks for Robbie Keane, so they must be spending our cash

Robbie Keane would be a cracking signing for Villa and would be joining up with Richard Dunne, something we could have saw at City once upon a time pre-takeover.

Aiden McGeady? We were linked to him pre-takeover aswell and I said you can take him or leave him because I view him as an average player. He's nothing special but then again neither are Villa. If Agbonlahor and Young get injured, then they haven't got their James Milner get-out-of-jail-free-card next season.

Not necessarily, don't forget that Villa are one of the four Premier league clubs that are still cash positive with no real debt concerns. Lerner will no doubt be using the Sky money that will buy the odd player or two.

quality signing if all is true and more than welcomed by me and a much needed player within the squad!
