Anything above 15 Million and he's overpriced. He's no better than Ireland in fairness. Both have had one good season each.
Wrong Milner has had more than one good season, he has improved every season as well, not to mention he can play all across midfield and cover as a full back in emergencies. We'll pay what WE think his value is to US.

oneill is shitting himself coz we aint gone back with a bigger offer.if he cant sell he cant buy...we should go back with the same bid an say take it or leave it,you got 24 hours.

^^^This.

We are now in the position of strength, i would offr £15 mill and make an additional £5 mill performance related....eg. top 4 finish, a trophy appearances etc.

I would also drag it out for another week to reduce villas time in the market..

The lad has literally kissed goodbye to a £4m pay-off, having told Villa that he wants to quit.

We continually moan about signing players who want to come to the club.

As yourself why this kid wants to , he has his pick. They can't all be wrong.

It just so happens we can offer the most to Villa. We have seen in the past with Kaka that means nowt.

Milner is going to be one of the very best midfielders in this country over the next four years.

You only get to the top with the right attitude. Lampard and Gerrard had it, so does Milner.

Would be a brilliant addition.

ya shoud'a potsed this tolm ;)

Shows the standards of midfielders in the Premiership in the next four years because he's a good player at best. No way will he become one of the best.

Villa fan here.

O'Neill does not usually talk to the press about transfers. This very much sounds like a deal has probably already been agreed. Milner is back from holiday this weekend.

This is O'Neill's way of breaking it to the Villa fans.

This is so much different to the Barry/Liverpool saga with deadlines and anger. It seems more cordial (maybe players involved later down the line).

I expect the deal to be at the £24m mark by Monday/Tuesday.

A great addition if we get it done, a bit like Boateng for our defence, can play all along the midfield. Good passer, a up and down player and also has a breat delivery from wide positions.

That says a lot about the City players around him then ..

If the signing of Milner restricts Michael Johnson's first team chances (or worst still brings about his exit), then this is a bad move by the club imo, as Johnson is the better player. I reckon it's Johnson, not Milner, that's destined for the top.
