Firstly, how often have you heard of a swap deal between clubs? It's a popular thing to speculate about, but it hardly never happens.

Secondly Villa usually don't do swap deals at all, because it offers problems with taxes etc. Randy has commented on this before IIRC. Which is probably why we signed Dunne after you signed Barry, and why it wasn't a direct swap, but two transfers going through due to deals in place.

Thirdly MON would NEVER let Ashley Young go. It's his love child. So unless Ashley says he wants to leave, he won't. MON would rather quit, I'm certain of it. And Ashley has just said he wants to stay no matter what and would sign a new deal if he were offered it.

Average? Jesus christ, he's one of the best wingers in the league IMO. But I guess some people won't accept players are more then good enough for clubs like United before them actually by them.
