Milner's big chance

Barry isnt vital to the team. De Jong / Yaya can all do that job for the team so its no big lost for me. To be honest I think De Jong will come in and prove himself and win himself a long term contract we are safe in that area of the pitch for me. I wouldnt mind us getting another ball playing centre midfielder in there who can put it about a bit if needed.

Nigel was Holland's only good player in the Euros.

For me and I disagree with one or two on here but Barry is vital to the team especially against the big boys. Might be able to get away with it against Southampton but will need him for Liverpool. We have had long discusions about this and I am right. :-) (For once maybe)

Regardless of what's said, Barry will be just as important next season as he was last season and I'm sure Mancini agrees with me. When fit I think he's only missed 3 games for City with Mancini in charge. Without Yaya at the end of the season, Barry was brilliant against WBA and Norwich, obviously Yaya came on in that one. As for the derby, talk about a big game player doing his job, his display was flawless and the reaction to him being awarded man of the match was brilliant.

Milner's probably is that he's too flexible in my opinion, doesn't excel anywhere but always gives a 7/10 performance, hard worker.

Milner is a great player. He always gives it his all and won't let the team down. He is a consistent player and an essential member of our squad.

I don't think we need cover, we need a top midfielder or someone who is going to become a top midfielder.

He's vital in big games, as long as it isn't against a midfield with lots of pace. He can be passed around or ran past quite easily. Other than on a few instances of this during the season (whenever Ramires plays for Chelsea and Bayern away come to mind) he was one of our top performers last season.

Milners problem he is good in a few positions, stick him and keep him in centre Mid and he will step up that bit we want, in the centre at Villa he was awesome, prob why we bought him.
Didnt Milner carry a few injuries from mid to end of season, seem to recall a rib injury then wasnt there ankle issues too?

Barry is like a mop, you dont notice its not there until your floor is filthy because it aint been cleaned, when Barry aint there we find out how good he is at his job.

NDJ, still a quality midfielder but a different player than that of Milner and Barry.

Are you f*cking SERIOUS? Not vital... cmon give him some credit, he´s twice the player Nigel is. Nigel is pretty one dimensioal while Barry is a much better player all around. He gives the team stability keeps the ball moving quickly, puts out fires all around the pitch and allows us to attack as much as we do. There is a reason why Barry started 31 games last season and Nigel 11 and why people in the team voted for him as the seasons player. He was suberb last season, only Silva and Hart started more games than him, while Yaya, Vincent and Sergio started the same number of games as him. "Isen´t vital to the team" Haaaaaah

here are the stats if you like to take a look <a class="postlink" href="http://soccernet.espn.go.com/team/squad/_/id/382/season/2011/league/eng.1/manchester-city?cc=5739" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://soccernet.espn.go.com/team/squad ... ty?cc=5739</a>
