Misheard Lyrics

I remember hearing my mum singing a Paul Young classic in the kitchen..."Everytime you go away, you take a piece of MEAT with you."

Ah, first record i ever bought :-)

The Smiths song ''London'' has the opening line ''Smoke lingers round your finger, train heave on to Euston....''

I have an American Smiths friend who lives in California and I sent her a postcard of Euston Station on a trip to London and when she got it she asked me (via email) of the relevance........
I was like ''What???''
So I told her and she replied ''I thought it said 'Train heave on to Houston'''

The best one ive heard is my Mrs. She always thought the lyrics to The Clash Rock The Casbah was "Fuck the gas board!!"

Anyone else got any crackers?

if that's true, that's brilliant.
