Missed out on a ticket for the derby?

If nothing else, this thread has opened up a genuine debate about OSC and none OSC Members, loyalty points, away tickets and how they are distributed and picked up, etc.

Jrb, i know exactly where you are coming from, but what can you do? The only solution is what de niro suggests, pics on your ST, to match to your away ticket.

how about the club sells them directly to the supporter who qualifies, 1 ticket per person so if you give a ticket up it's yours and you're the only 1 who loses out.

*sigh* If only everything in life were so simple mate!
Great point.

it's not that hard 2bh mate, they should have a list of who is eligible and if they call up within their allocated time period for buying tickets then they should get 1, if they don't apply in time then it's their own fault if they don't get a ticket to people with lower points.

After all, we cant have Blues getting tickets in their name and passing them on to someone else who might not have enough points to get them in their own right now can we?

no, but you sell your own ticket so it's your loss.

Whereas a supporters club order tickets in the names of the members that have enough points to get the tickets.
Exactly the same mate.

well there shouldn't be a problem then, yet there evidently is, so they can't be trusted to distribute tickets, not that they should have the right in the first place imo, supporters should have no issue getting their tickets direct from the club if they're genuine.

But it isn't. They order the tickets in advance of any announcement on loyalty points criteria.

Exactly there are clearly supporters club members who don't want to admit that the amount of points you have is irrelevant if you are a member of a branch.

The branch gets allocated a number of tickets (before they go on sale and before the number of points required is known) they then distribute them to the members who have applied for that particular game.

As long as a fan is a member of that branch they theoretically can have a ticket irrespetcive of points. Anyone who tries to pretend otherwise is lying.

This idea that OSC members go to games that no one else goes to is rubbish. Our branch got half a dozen going to Fulham and then 40 odd applied for rags tickets of which 30 odd actually got a ticket most of whom wouldn't have had enough points through the ordinary channels.

Now I'm not sure how many branches there are but even if you say 50 (conservative) that's 1,500 tickets and you wonder why so many loyal fans (not members of a branch) struggled to get tickets.

Why do posters on here only have digs at OSC's on away derby week ?? seems the rest of the season this issue doesnt come into the equasion.
Simply because if you have say 5000 points. You are guaranteed to get to all the other games in the season.

However the away derby week despite having 5000 points the chances of getting a ticket are very slim. This isnt because all the top points holders want a ticket. Its because the people within the supporters clubs with 2000, 3000 or even 4000 less points get them.

I have had no problem getting tickets to the 14 away games i have been to so far this season with my 5130 loyalty points. But for the derby i have missed out.

DITTO!

You have to give your name, seasoncard number and your supporters number when you apply for these tickets? or at least at our branch you do.

If a certain branch edits the rules slightly why should that affect the rest of the branches that do it correctly?
