Missed out on a ticket for the derby?

Whereas a supporters club order tickets in the names of the members that have enough points to get the tickets.
Exactly the same mate.

Think this is the problem mate.
Not true. The SC I was a member of last season applied for 120 tickets for OT but got issued with 80. Those 80 tickets were issued against season cards that didn't have enough points and the other 40 tickets were gained by the secretary going down and queing up every day. So the FACTS are that it doesn't matter how many points you have if you are a SC member you are guaranteed a ticket. Disgusting.

p.s. I'm not a memeber this season because I disagreed with it and have missed out on a ticket this season even though I had enough points last season, so they have definitely given more tickets to SCs/ corporate etc.

I know someone who got a ticket for Blackpool Away despite only being a Citycard holder and living in a different Country to the branch they were affiliated to. Apparently this overseas branch gets X amount of tickets guarenteed and paid up members get to recieve them regardless of their lack of Seasoncard.

Blackpool was a nightmare to get a ticket for.

I wasn't going to post again, but you are spot on, and those moaning with all the so called "FACTS" they know still won't complain to the 2 people that can do something about it, Kevin Parker, and the ticket office manager.

To be fair, there isn't a lot the ticket office manager can do.

Kevin Parker however, can.

The club allocate the correct amount of tickets for the amount of people that have enough loyalty points. The bit that gets my goat is the way the tickets are distributed.

Speaking of "facts", I can categorically tell you that supporters clubs will order tickets from peoples season cards that have enough points who for whatever reason can't or don't want to go to games like the derby (there's quite a few out there who can't stomach it) and then give them to people who don't have even nearly enough points - even non season ticket holders.

The system isn't flawed - the users are.

This is a great point.

People can talk about supporters clubs distributing tickets, but they do work it on a loyalty points system, and as blue bird said people with enough loyalty points will get a ticket, even if they dont go, and then will be passed to somebody else.

No different from me getting a ticket normally at the ticket office, not wanting to go, then giving it to my mate who only goes to 2 games a season. (I haven't by the way).

People who are complaining, join a supporters club, and see if you get one next year if they distribute them to anyone, i think you will then realise its not as easy as you think.

The big problem this time round i think, as supporters clubs recieved less tickets for this game than in previous years, is how many have been given to corporate.

Bollocks. Why cant you ring up and order your own ticket??

They do all sit together.

Let's get it right the OSC's do a great job and in my experience the people that run them put a lot of effort in beyond getting tickets. They are a great way of bringing blues together and no doubt away attendances for the lesser games would suffer without them.

My only view is that the allocation needs to be looked at for the really big games. I personally think too many tickets are allocated for the big games with high demand.

There must be some way that the club can allow block booking but put an estimate of points based on previous fixtures. You have to supply your supporter no and supporters club membership no to apply for tickets through a branch so they could then filter out those that don't qualify.

Whether that would damage membership of SC's is the question. Not sure I know the answer but there are a lot of loyal blues who have missed out and quite a few JCL's who have secured tickets through being a member of a branch.

nope sorry, you should not be allowed to order a ticket for someone who isn't going and then give it someone who doesn't deserve it.

Supporter's clubs should not be allowed to issue tickets, end of, if you want to go to a City match, get the ticket direct from the fucking club.

I fully agree with that, which i do believe is the biggest problem with the system, and that doesnt just go for supporters clubs, but people who get there tickets normally aswell

As I have said if they have enough points ring up themselves and use to OSC to travel together, have meetings etc. The system is flawed and a massive piss take is happening. Apologies also for having a dig at you for not ringing up
