That’s precisely it. The gone without a trace element. As far is public knowledge goes, there's no bit on the side, no dodgy ex, no financial troubles, no addictions to substances or gambling, or mental illness.

The gone without trace element is really baffling and intriguing. Especially in an age where you are captured on CCTV, ring doorbells etc several times a day. In addition as you say, with most crimes there is something obvious linked to the crime.

It's very easy to rule that out based on bank records. Generally if you do a runner you still use your bank account. Very hard to disappear from the financial system and the plod will be on it straight away.

I guess it depends on if you have absconded with someone who has their own financial resources. I doubt this is the case though. I think if she had, she would have come forward with all the publicity there has been.

...such as loading up prepaid Credit/Mastercard's that are easily obtainable in 'many names' n can hold 10K a pop on each.

I wonder if they have checked her previous walks? From those CCTV feeds they could see just how long she usually took and if she was ever carrying a bag/rucksack previously. If it was preplanned she may have stashed a change of clothing/wig for example.

I have actually done this,not purposely though.
My birth certificate and passport have my birth name Andrei.
As do some bank cards etc.
My driving license has Andrew on and also some bank cards.
I have a couple of pre paid cards I use when abroad which have Andy on them.
