Missing woman Nicola Bulley - inquest (P 158)

No I get that, I was saying I have never known with anything like this before that a private (non-Police) diver being involved and speaking up. The Police have divers so why was he even involved?

He was involved because he had equipments far superior than the police had.
He offered and the family took him up on it

reported missing, that number dwindles as time goes on. 70,000 kids though is scary.
70,000 kids go missing or are reported missing,69,998 are hiding or playing in a different area than usual , and are found and spanked by their parents for shitting them up :)

i was a missing person once ,in a theme park in wales ,cant remember much about it,i didnt know i was missing just thought i was lost :)

The sonar equipment is probably very expensive and hard to use, not much point in every police force having one and then training officers to use it given these cases are very rare. Usually bodies are found by the dive team or are washed up some days later.

I have seen reports of drongos going round the village late at night live streaming and the local understandably getting very upset. Police need to get a grip of this quickly as they dont appear to be in control at present. Will today be the day they finally say she's likely not to have fallen in the river?

I don't mean to sound callous or insensitive (I'm not, though it may come across that way). I'm just wondering why this tragic case in particular, is getting the publicity that it is getting. I'm sure there's plenty of missing women cases every year, and they don't seem to get the media coverage this lady is getting. I could understand it if she'd been murdered, which she hasn't (as of yet, though it doesn't look good at this stage).

Again, apologies if I seem crass/uncaring/insensitive. Trust me, it's not intentional.

although many go missing every year, there's not many cases like this one

'Around 85 per cent of adults are found within two days and 5 per cent will be missing for longer than a week.'

Most of those gone missing usually have problems in their life, domestic issues, mental health and go on their own accord etc which shades more light of their disappearance - by all accounts Nicola Bulley was happy and healthy and a mother so it does add more layers.

It's a bit tedious when its case like this or a murder etc and people always come out with 'why's this getting more publicity than the others'

obviously some cases just grab hold of the public more than others and a snowball affect takes place with the media who will up the reporting and intrigue.

Didn‘t they report that he offered his services earlier on and was initially refused?

Maybe partly due to its mystery elements, I.e. things not adding up on the face of it. There seem to more “how comes”, “why’s” and “what ifs” than your average missing person case.
