Missing woman Nicola Bulley - inquest (P 158)

There's been one of these cretins live streaming every night "looking for Nicola" with thousands of idiots blowing smoke up his arse.

Last night he was in the garden of one of the big houses nearby and was telling his audience he could smell a vile smell, then the house owner comes out and bollocks him for trespassing.

It just so happened that the house owner matched a description of a drawing that a psychic medium did of a "suspect" and this led to some of his viewers (from the other side of the country) ringing the police... like he'd cracked the case...

You couldn't make this shit up honestly.

Almost Viz character-esque

And given a good hiding in the car park at chucking out time

That's why except for your local nutter, hardman or the extremely foolish, people tempered their views a bit, as a smack in the mouth could be the result of not doing so. The world has always been full of barrack room lawyers and experts, the internet has just given them a wider place to view them.

If I found a phone and a dog I wouldn't call the police straight away. I'd have a look / shout around, ask others (if anyone else was around)
Even if you did call the police, they wouldn't deal with it I'd imagine..... don't they say someone (an adult) has to be "missing" for a set amount of time before they look into it?

They'd probably tell me to call a number on the phone and find put who it belongs too.
Do we know who actually called the police?

My wife often goes into town for a specific reason, meets someone and goes for a coffee or a walk, I don't phone the police every time (or ever).
If your wife took the dog out and her phone was on a bench with the dog running free but no sign of her and you was alerted I’m sure you would then.

My wife went out for a couple of hours on Sunday and wasn’t back for 3 1/2, didn’t think anything of it. In fact didn’t really notice she was so long I was busy doing stuff and listening to my music.
Yes mine does as well but not with a dog, I would have thought she would have taken it home before going elsewhere?

Once her partner was alerted to Nicola not being with the dog and her phone me personally would have alerted police rapid and gone to to look for her not waited another hour.
