8 games is more than enough to send the message that this was completely not acceptable. The standard for violent conduct is 3. He's got 8. Almost 1/4 of a season. Spitting in someone's face is 6. Racially abusing someone is 6 matches.

Yes, Mario Lemina at Southampton and we are still not over the fucking stupidity of it. Lemina didn't even run at the ref (Jared Gillet), just got up and looked in his direction with his arms outstretched. We still talk of it on our forums now and mention every time we see other teams (especially United) surrounding the refs and nothing gets done.

I don't care if its 3, 6, 20 etc but let's have consistency. United players get away with it. Others don't.

Plus, if they feel it's bad enough to warrant 8 matches because its so serious in their eyes, then to me that means it should be serious enough ban people for incidents even if the red card wasn't given in a game. If it was a racial incident that wasn't picked up in a game but afterwards, it would be a ban. So why not with violent conduct against officials?

Ban the rat too.

Indeed mate, we're getting heartily sick of it. The past 3 games we've had strong penalty claims ruled out (Newcastle, Leeds and Forest), our bench has been losing its cool because of it so we're now being charged for that and now they are retrospectively charging Podence of 'allegedly' spitting at Brennan Johnson. They use 'allegedly' as there are no pictures actually showing spittle
