Moisés Caicedo

Blow my own trumpet time...In my early days as an analyst (albeit in media marketing), I worked on an algorithm for exponential sales decay.

I signed over the intellectual property to my employers at the time, who modified it to encompass more variables such as performance, value etc. and they then sold it on to a number of companies, including Starlizard and SAP, for an absolute fortune.

And that, ladies and gents, is why I'm not retired and can't be trusted to make any financial decisions in my house ever again...:-)

Thanks for sharing & seems to back up what I've heard from certain mates who work for Bloom's subsidiary businesses.

Bloom isn't that fussed about players & scouts leaving Brighton. They are essentially all expendable. Its the IP for his various algorithms & systems created which he will hang on to dear life.

As long as you didn’t get divorce letter and do chores around the house , you should be ok ;)

Brighton are consider a well run club, great at unearthing talent and selling for profit. That's great, until the replacements aren't as good, and then they will be considered a badly run club signing players who aren't good enough and can't be sold.
Leicester went through a phase of amazing, cheap signings - Mahrez, Kante etc. - and actually won some big trophies but it did not last. I don't think Brighton will continue this trend of buying cheap, developing and selling indefinitely. They also seemed to lack conviction on the pitch. They really should have beaten the rags in the FA Cup semi last year.

Well, it is nice to know you still have a trumpet at least.

See also Southampton.

The problem that any of these clubs face is you can get an edge for two or three seasons on backroom staff, recruitment and all the rest but there are bigger fisher in the sea with more money who will just swallow you whole and then your systems are known by everyone. Very hard to maintain for more than a few years. Best of luck to them, though!

ha ha how the story changes
liverpool apparently werent overly optimistic this morning over caicedo signing but bingo was purring like a cheshire cat
