Monaco - Post Match thread.

What's really annoying is after we scored they looked dead on their feet, they barely came at us and we still contrived to gift them a goal by conceding a daft free kick, then defending poorly. They didn't even have to try hard to score, we were under no pressure. Amateurish. And a long way short of being a top class Euro side.

Pathetic defending due to the team selection with one midfielder and one real center back.

If you play an attacking 1 3 1 5 formation and don't get a shot on target for the first hour it shows a massive tactical fuck.

Better luck next season without the Emperor's New Clothes manager.
Silva and de bruyne aren't midfielders... fuck me!
You genuinely dont want pep to succeed do you. Every opportunity you get to slag him off you do
just piss off

Manchester City's football team is not good enough! No amount of analysis will gloss over the need for quality footballers. Tonight's defeat merely emphasises the club's need to acquire quality players, in attack, midfield and defence ( Goalkeeper included). Perhaps the current manager has already decided which players he needs, and which players need to go. To all of us fans watching this team struggle, May be offered the hope that the situation will improve. We have waited so long for our club to enjoy real sustained success, that now seems so far away, but with a little more patience, perseverance and acquisition of the aforementioned quality players, that success can indeed become a reality. City forever!!! X

With a two goal lead going into the away second leg you'd think that ball retention and not getting overrun in midfield would be high on the list of priorities.

So Guardiola drops the best passer of the ball I've ever seen and doesn't even bring him on to retain possession once we'd got the aggregate lead back! Utterly bizarre!b

Plus without Yaya being deep with Fernandinho, we were swamped in midfield when Silva and de Bruyne joined an attack. 1 v 5 at times for Fern.

Hopeless tactics!

With de Bruyne deeper second half we were better but appalling composure in front of goal saw us fluff chances we should have buried to go through and NOBODY(!) was marking Bakayoko for that winner no fucker!

Poor night for City that! 5-3 up, not happy!

Pep: 'Poor first-half left us too much to do - but we will learn from this night'

Hard to believe him right now when it seems he learned fuck all from the first game.
