So uni is where you learnt to be a know it all?

What course was that on? Was the "Holier than though BSc" or the "Diploma in drinking and Che Guevara Studies"?

Good man, it means you can leave the Psycotherapy ward and just join me in Oncology in about 30/40 years. I love my Egyptian Regal's. Lasted me 3 months so far.

I worked my balls off for my degree mate.

I've not quit the weed, just having a break to clear the head and lungs and then I'm back on it.

Lol there was a point in my life where I was unknowingly living that song! Happy days!

Half of me wants to go onto university and get a good degree, become a teacher, work hard, and have a nice life.

The other half of me wants to just fuck around for three years getting pissed, just to spite some of the dimwitted inbreds who have posted on this thread.

I would like to meet some of these students who take one in the arse.
Some right cuties shouting 'Tory Scum' on the telly at present.

University is an extension to education, not part of it. I made the decision not to go to Uni, but if I want to go to Uni, I should expect to pay for it.

I'm just watching these protests in London, and they have frig all to do with the message of protesting against fees. They're just causing mayhem for the hell of it. Do they really think that the Government will listen to them after this?

Get the batons out, water cannons and teach this idiots that's not the way to behave. We're too soft on these protestors, well I use the term protestors lightly.

In Manchester, "A large group have sat down at the back of the hall, singing 'if you hate Nick Clegg clap you hands"....there we go, more of that.

And if I hear of the Christmas market being damaged one bit, I'm signing up to be a Special Constable Now and heading down with a baton! :o)

I'm with him ^^^^^^^

Maybe best I don't tell you all about my European witchcraft with Papua New Guinean Film combined honours degree then.

You can do both quite easily.

I heard a rumour once that even people who work like to drink and get pissed but it could just be a rumour.

This goes beyond tuition fee rises, though. It is a demonstration of the inadequacy of this brand of democracy, and further elucidates that the people and their rights are inferior to economics which maintain the status quo of the rich remaining rich.

Hello mate.

Higher Education is a personal lifestyle choice that usually leads to a higher average wage during one's lifetime.

Having no where to live due to circumstance is not always a lifestyle choice.

(FYI - I am not a massive fan of the welfare state as a whole and would love a system in place where benefits would not be available unless people had paid in for a set amount of years, this apparently is not the right thing to say and usually leads to people shouting at me, so don't tell anyone).

Hello.

In my experience, the Conservative line of thinking, in opposition to the welfare state, repudiate philosophy such as fatalism and determinism, insisting that we are the ones who decided our future. In that case, social housing is not due to circumstance, as they can always get a job, like you or I.

Personally, I believe that the opportunity to be educated at an admissable price - however Mickey Mouse the degree is - is as important as a house over your head.

Well then we differ. I would also say that so long as the individual pays for it, then they can do whatever degree they fancy.

As for your experience, since when did I say I was Conservative? Is one no longer allowed personal opinions without them being nailed to the colours of one of the main parties? ;)
