Most overrated City player ever?

He's good at controlling the ball, cutting inside and shooting. Every. single.time.

He's fairly shit at most other things.

Fannies out of tackles, slows the game down, constantly checks back inside and plays the safety first pass to our full back, holds on to the ball too long, takes too many touches, never spots the overlapping run of our full back, makes terrible decisions with when and who to pass to.

His stats are very good, but I think he's overrated for the reasons stated above.
If he is as shit as you stated, why does Pep keep him on the ground for four seasons and give him a contract extension till 2025? Why do players who could play right winger like Sane, Sterling and Jesus all leave City while Mahrez is still kept in the squad?

because they all wanted to leave, City wanted to keep all three of them, bit of a strange point to try and score with tbh.

Because his numbers are so good.

We wanted to keep Sané, but he left because he wanted to go back to Germany.

Terry Cooke.....played like a man possessed while on loan but when we signed him on a permanent he was absolutely dog turd......

Overrated depends very much on who is doing the rating and at what stage of a career we are talking about.
In recent years the signings that have disappointed me most compared with their reputations when I hadn't actually seen them play much have been Jovetic, Balotelli and Mendy all of whom were considered by many to be outstanding up and coming talents but none really delivered. Bravo was pretty disappointing considering his reputation as well.
Some such as Maicon I think we probably got a bit to late in their career.
Up until very recently since the takeover I think many City players have been underrated by the pundits, who appeared to think you couldn't play good football unless you had a red shirt or were London based.

Kompany was a great footballer and an iconic player for us, but not a great defender; outside of Mancini’s well drilled, low block defensive unit his lack of awareness got exposed in a higher line. He was horrific in Europe aswell.

He’s a lot like Gerrard in the sense the armband, the winning goals and the physicality masked a lot of their shared flaws - it’s no coincidence both clubs have gone up a level in the absence of their egos and erratic presence on the pitch.
Lol

Joe Hart

1 really good season, one decent , the rest was an accident waiting to happen

poor decision making when coming off his line

terrible low to his left

distribution was absolutely woeful, not just his playing out from the back but his long kicking , 50% must have gone into touch

also a bit of a low key bellend, loved the sound of his voice and came from the ingurland school of leadership which involved shouting a lot and displaying pashun

Pirlo showed him up as the plum that he is
Funny how he gets slated for not being able to play out from the back when pep hadnt even made it a thing yet , joe was a traditional english keeper , no need at all to bash him for that
