Buster Philips...... of modern times Shay Given
I thought Alf Inge Haaland was rubbish for us but most people seemed to rate him.
Good shout. Typically he destroyed us the season before for Swansea, so we bought him. Thought it was just what we needed sadly despite sticking with him and just waiting for him to turn it on , he didn't. Big failure, not done much since
Santa Cruz
Big time Charlie who lived on his reputationNever forget sitting behind him when he was on the bench for us at Maine Road, we were playing Coventry.
He had a face like thunder and was giving the bench the evil eye, one very angry individual.
I thought a taller forward gave us options, Dzecko wasn't too bad but was always going to be second fiddle to Aguero and Balotelli coming sort of did for him. I still think a taller target man would help us unlock defences when they just sit back and defend. We should never have bought him. I could see it a mile off - If Dzecko couldn't work in the team there was no chance Bony ever would.

I guess you didn't see the BBC rating him one of the best 10 goalkeepers of the Premier League Era and while No.1 with us Hart was on loan at Birmingham and played well enough to be the only player they have ever had in the Premier League team of the seasonShay Given was man of the match on his debut and was an improvement on what we had before. He had his flaws but I don’t think he was overrated

That was my point, if the BBC think he was one of the top ten goalkeepers of the Premier League Era that to me would be the very definition of being over-rated, he was OK at City but not someone you would call outstandingMaybe you got the wrong end of the stick but I rated Given. I was replying to a post which called him overrated, I don’t think he was
Don't you think we lack height in our forward line?Spurs have tried that by buying Jansen then Llorente to play second fiddle to Kane. It’s a good idea but rarely works out

Malcolm didn’t buy him Jonny Hart did as he signed in October of 73 It was after Malcolm had left But yeah he was shite.Keith Macrae. Pardon if spelling is incorrect. A classic Malcom expensive signing, to replace Corrigan who was too fat, according to our coach. Trouble was, he was shit and a slimmed down Joe soon replaced him.
The issue with this kind of list is the definition "overrated" by whom? if its the supporters I would challenge anyone to find a single City supporter that rated Jo or Bony, or a host of other names on this list, dont get me wrong I'm not saying they aren't crap, but they happened to be crap and not rated
