Most Overrated Player to Play for City

Big money for the time but they were both fucking ace!

We moved on Colin Hendry and Andy Hinchcliffe in that time, they both went onto have better careers and win trophies elsewhere. Hindsight is beautiful thing but maybe we should have kept hold of them both. Loved Keith Curle, Phelan would get caught out of position a lot bombing up the pitch.

Present - Ederson, think he's an average goalkeeper that wouldn't play for us if he wasn't so good with his left peg. Still yet to have a game where he looks unbeatable

Because he made 2 saves, 1 brilliant and 1 routine? This is what i mean, see how you are overrating a performance by him because of one save

You just said he hasn't had a single game where he looked unbeatable. I mentioned the game where he kept a clean sheet and stopped everything that came at him, one of which, by your own admission, being a world class save. I'm not sure what you want really.

If you're waiting for us to come under a barrage of shots for 90 minutes then you'll be waiting a while.

Mancini always played with two up front. Perm any two from Aguero, Dzeko, Tevez and Balotelli. It wasn’t a question of anyone playing second fiddle to anyone else.

Dzeko was underplayed in my view. He scored four at White Hart Lane and was benched for the next two matches. Letting him go was a mistake but inevitable.

Aguero and Tevez started every match for me. That partnership away at Norwich was something else. They were sensational. Dzeko was a confidence player and Balotelli too unpredictable. Nobody aside from Mancini would’ve brought Mad Mario to City.

Hart at Spurs and home to Dortmund are unbeatable performances. Whilst I’m not the active fan I once was, Ederson was signed as he can play with his feet. Hart couldn’t.

Perhaps but Edin was always second choice to Aguero and if push came to shove it would be Aguero that would be first choice. The current team is lacking in height and has been for a few seasons. All i am saying is that against teams that are prepared to sit back and defend, alot of average teams cope for long periods because they know we offer no aerial threat

I tend to agree. Ederson with the ball at his feet is brilliant but when it comes to just keeping the ball out of the net we've had better. Been a City fan since the early 90s and in my opinion from the keepers I've seen Coton,Given, Hart and David James were better shot stoppers. That being said none of them would get in Peps team because of their distribution!

Behave. Given and Hart good shot stoppers on their day but Ederson is better than both and the rest of those mentioned. He rarely has to make any saves which is perhaps why you don't have many memories of them and there has been games he has had the dreaded Bravo stat of; 1 shot on target 1 conceded but that doesn't tell the story of the goal.

Dont think he was a better shot stopper than Tony Coton,he was the best I've seen at city! In the early to mid 90s only Schmiechel was better than him in the 1st division/premier league! Not a lot between Ederson and the others I mentioned. Just my opinion!

Nicolas Anelka Amd Darius Vassell both needed about 30 opportunities per goal and both were awful at one on ones. Of the current crop Mahrez cos he’s a greedy twat and the most selfish player I’ve seen at City since Trevor Francis
Wow, I have read it all now...
Anelka awful at one on ones
He was a class act and I would love to see what he could do with the service he would get now
