if they are favourites then the bar has been set very low, they had 75% of a good season when most of the other top 4 were having a season off, literally everything went for them that could go for them and they won precisely nothing, on top of the 75% of a good season they have spent 105m on a midfielder from a team that finished 14th last year, 65m on a player who has no idea where he plays from a team that finished 12th and a dutch defender from a team that finished second in a 1 team league, if that makes them favourites then the bar is stupidly low, the only reason they are in the conversation is recency bias and the narrative that their media savvy fans set
