Not the most underrated ever by any means but someone who seems to get lumped in with the rest of the shit from the early 80s and I always thought was a pretty decent player was Kevin Reeves.

I think his whole career was done and dusted in about 10 years because of injuries but he’s someone I always think could have been top notch if he’d not had the bad luck he did.

He was very skilful and held the ball up well, but he lacked sufficient physical presence and didn’t score nearly enough goals. Trevor Francis has spoken well of him as a player.

Not underrated as such but I think people forget just how good SWP was before his big money transfer to Chelsea.

Alex Wiliams deserves a mention. Followed on from a club legend in Joe Corrigan and must have received humungous amounts of abuse from certain sections of fans in those days. Had a pretty decent couple of years for us.
