Mourinho or Mancini

Back to the point, RM and Barca are national institutions and so laws unto themselves incomparable with any other sporting clubs in the world. But I enjoy my time in Andalucia and the Spanish have a quirky if annoying charm, whereas I hated Milan and Sr Bunga Bunga is an utterly disgusting excuse for a human being.

Me too ... Barcelona is probably my favourite get away in Europe ... lots of friends and even some family there. Italy is ... well I hate generalising, but it's an incredibly racist place and me and my missus didn't feel comfortable or welcome in too many places for us to consider going back anytime soon.

Exactly. I got hassled at the airport for nothing more than my surname and that was passport control in the EU! But then my sister has just spent the weekend in Rome and loved it, so generalisations are always a tricky business. Overall, Iberia over Italy every time for me, and the Goan curries in Portugal are simply gorgeous! Shame what's happened to Malaga CF though.

Genuine question: What would Bobby actually have to do to convince you he is the right guy for job?

He's convinced me with an FA Cup a league title and a fantastic win percentage. Haven't lost by more than a goal in nearly two years either.

these are mere details, the important thing is that Jose is destined to replace him.

To some people once they have made their minds up it is made up and they won't go back.

He's had 3 years and he hasn't convinced me so that ship has sailed I'm afraid.

What would have convinced you in those 3 years?

Better against Europe's better teams, or at least progress that showed we were improving against those teams. A little more humility when things didn't go right rather than just lambasting every player within spitting distance. But most importantly, respecting the club enough to not sit in a press conference crowing about the number of billionaires he flirted with last year, and not using every opportunity to trumpet how long we had gone for without a trophy before he came along. Mancini gets right up my nose because he's Mourinho but without the charisma or the ability. He has fuck all loyalty to City in my opinion and he showed that by conducting job interviews while we were in a title race last spring.

he just lost a little faith after the Arsenal away result, he wasn't alone. I hope the same doesn't happen on Sunday.

No, I think it's beyond repair. One you lose the Madrid fans, you don't get them anymore. Media attacks on Mourinho are ordered from Perez and co. too and he's dead man walking imo.

It's going to be very funny if Mourinho manages to win the CL ... but yes i do tend to agree with that assessment. He'd have gone last summer if he hadn't won the league. I've heard whispers that there were attempts from within the club to sabotage the run to the title just to get Mourinho out.

He's going to come back to England a returning hero. Personally I look forward to his return to the league as I've always liked him and I think he brings a certain humour into our game which is sadly lacking.

Can I just say out loud once more in the vain hope that someone who matters reads this forum. When Mancini goes, forget Mourinho and forget Pep, move heaven and earth to get Jurgen Klopp. :)

That's very possible and the reason I used palace metaphor. All that matters there to many of them is to take that additional share of power inside the club. Mourinho is tough bastard and he fought and managed to win part of that power from them and they want it back.

As soon as you have elections for something, it's pure politics, nothing more. All you want is to destroy the one that is considered a threat to your aspirations and to cheat public to believe you.

Mourinho is legend, I wouldn't tell him all my secrets but I love people who are ready to fight for their cause and are not afraid to talk when many would be afraid to. He does have some exaggerating moments and is cruel enough to destroy one he's in war against but he's still twice a lad than most of those who like to talk all kind of crap about him. And 10 times better in his job than most of them.

This is one of those moments. There's ton of truth in his words yet few of them would have guts to tell it as you're considered as idiot if you not w@nking about Messi when he is taking a throw in. Each word in this video shows that is coming from the man who knows the game up and down and doesn't just talk the usual cliches.
