Mourinho or Mancini

Mourinho to PSG and Ancelotti to Madrid is my prediction, winning the CL with PSG would be his greatest achievement.

If Mancini leaves Pep will come to us and Moyes to United if Fergie leaves.

Yep. Pep for us and Mou at OT seem the most probable.

Although I try not to listen, I heard Fergie say something about there being no successor. Sounded like he was being told to go to this cynical mind.

Still think you are all being harsh on Bobby though. Maybe the Sheikh will be as well. I'll be sad to see him go...
Well I think bobby Charlton reduced the chances of mourinho going to old Trafford hugely in an interview last month where he basically said that he was not the right kind of man for the old Trafford job. Charlton is an important player at ot and I dont think he'd have said that without insider knowledge of the club's thinking.

I've said many times on here that I don't believe ot would suit mourinho either. He's too much of an individual and he won't want to step into ferguson's shoes. For me I believe his number one choice would be city and I think he made that known last month when Madrid came to town. There are few better jobs in the world, let alone England, because of the enormous and unfulfilled potential the sheikh's money has given the club.

The big question is whether there is a vacancy( I think there's a high chance there will be) and whether pep is first choice

Fair enough. Who knows? Don't mind a debate when it's not unnecessary Bobby Bashing. But you didn't say whether you agree that Fergie knows his number's up, or is that just wishful thinking?

With the money PSG have spent, and will continue to do so, winning the CL will become expectant of him, should he take over PSG.

For me, it wouldn't be a comparable achievement to that of winning it with a much unfancied Porto.

Pretty reasonable post, what sticking with Mancini for the next 2 seasons then go for Mourinho after his 2 year stunt at PSG I'm pretty certain that's where he'll end up for next season..

You really don't understand Mourinho if you think he's motivated by money. More chance Mancini ends up there on the basis that Mancini was discussing moving to Monaco last season. Mourinho to PSG is a fanciful notion IMO.

Yeah fair point so you telling me that Mourinho hasn't been looking else where for a job? Only down side on Mancini is it got out

The truth of this thread is that we are sticking Bobby's name in a pot with a few other top managers, throwing in the balls for a few top clubs including City, and picking out different numbers in the draw.

What we all agree on is that there will be changes at most, if not all, of these clubs this summer.

And that's all we know, if that!!!

If I bet, I'd offer you any price that first part won't happen. Specially Ancelotti to Madrid.

2nd one is more realistic though.

You've missed my point. Mourinho won't take the PSG job because for better for for worse the French league is the fifth or sixth most competitive in Europe. It doesn't really match up with the best manager of the last decade, no matter how much money Paris as a club have.

I know people think that I'm biased against Mancini, but equally I think there's a hell of a lot of you who missed just how fucking disgraceful it was that in the middle of a league title campaign he was conducting job interviews with a ligue 2 side. I'd have a modicum of respect for the man if we were talking about a big job in world football he could potentially have missed out on. But Monaco - and the Russian nation team job ... eurgh, classless, so horribly crass and classless it makes my blood boil when I think about it.

C'mon mate. Any sane person would explore all the options when they felt that their job was under threat. So, yes, you are against Mancini, quite pathologically so, but that's up to you, our kid. ;)

...He has fuck all loyalty to City in my opinion and he showed that by conducting job interviews while we were in a title race last spring.
he just lost a little faith after the Arsenal away result, he wasn't alone. I hope the same doesn't happen on Sunday.

According the Guardian Exclusive, Mancini held those talks in January, when still top of league, not April, when the sky seemed to be falling in at Arsenal?

-- Mon Jan 07, 2013 5:19 pm --

Think Rafa will end up at Madrid or stay Chelsea.

Even a sneaky feeling for Wenger, if Pep bottles it and takes Arsenal job.

There is NO chance that Mancini will go this summer barring a complete disaster in the remainder of the season. The Sheikh doesnt work like that. Barring the CL exits, everything else is going according to plan. In case of PL, it was even achieved earlier than planned. Mancini will be given one more season at the least, of that there is no doubt.
