Mourinho quitting? (merged)

There is no way in hell that if Mourinho become City manager, he would leave FOR United. United wouldn't even want a manager who has managed City in charge.

If you do get Mourinho, he will turn you into a powerhouse. Love him or loathe him, he is an exceptional manager, and despite coming short against Barca with Madrid, he is close to winning La Liga this season, an achievement that i can't see any manager in Europe achieving.

Mancini seems a decent guy but Mourinho is a level above. If he was in charge of you today, you would win everything imo.

If you lose the league to that poor injury ridden United team, Mancini deserves to be sacked imo considering the talent at his disposal.

If Mancini didn't win the league, then big YES.

Mind you that the majority of City fans are behind Mancini and would not welcome Mourinho.
Tevez City is a wind up merchant. Everyone apart from the people with the power can see it.

It seems you have a short memory, do you know what Inter Milan achieved after they sacked Mancini and appointed The Special One ?

I am not saying sack Mancini now, If he failed to win the title this year and Mourinho became available, then the board should do their calculations and see whats best for the club.

Stability

Some people were saying lets stick with Mark Hughes for the " Stability" reason !

We've dropped 12pts this season and many of them have been a result of undeniably poor referee decisions. On the other side we've only been gifted 2 extra points by one decision (Spurs, going by the logic that Mario shouldn't have been on the pitch to win his penalty).

vs. Chelsea, a stonewall penalty denied for Silva at 1-0 up. We lost 2-1. That is 3pts lost as we very likely would have won at 2-0 up.

vs. Sunderland, a clear offside goal given for Sunderland in the dying seconds. That is 2pts lost as it should have been a draw.

vs. West Brom, a clear onside goal by Richards disallowed for offside. That is 2pts lost as it should have been a win for us as WBA were offering nothing to even hint at a fightback if we scored.

I won't get too picky and point out that Dzeko was fouled right before Fulham's goal in the 2-2, but we've been gifted 3pts and had 7pts taken away from us. With even competent officiating that would mean we should have only dropped 7pts this season, can't ask for much more of Mancini and it isn't his fault the rags have grinded out loads of 1-0 wins to stay on our tail.

Is it any wonder City are now going to the FA over poor decisions against us? 7pts denied and let's not get started on the ridiculous amount of petty fouls, cards, and penalties given against us lately.

Hughes - CC semi final.....
Mancini - Champions League football, FA Cup, top of the league......

There's a bit of a difference

I really have the feeling that Mourinho will go to Arsenal IF he does come back to England. Here is why: he and Wenger HATE eachother (remember the voyeur comment?) and Wenger has not won a Trophy in 7 years. If Mourinho went to Arsenal and spent no money he'd at least win the Carling Cup even with their current squad. But the fact is there is money to spend approx £50m. Mourinho ego is the most important thing to him. He knows that he could rock up at Arsenal and even if he only won the CC at first, Gooners would adore him for ending their Trophy drought. 60,000 Gooners loving him every home game would appeal to his ego and vanity. IMO Arsenal is a win win for Mourinho. He'd love to get one over on Wenger in the process.

The others:

Us/City: If those Spanish ex Barca people come here there is no chance for Mourinho, I've read an article saying they turned him down for the Barca job because they didn't like him.

United: Probably the job Jose wants but Fergie's ego won't allow him to quit. Fergie doesn't want to retire and will have t be dragged kicking and screaming from the job. Also I don't think it's Jose's style to follow a successful manager, hence the reason I think Arsenal would be the right job because Wenger is not successful but Fergie is. I think United want Pep Guardiola, eventually, not Mourinho.

Chelsea: The LEAST likely of all the clubs, this is a definate no no. 'Never go back'. Mourinho could never replicate the same feelings and success at Chelsea and would be ruining his legacy at the club if he went back for a second spell. Also it's not the Russian way to take someone back into the fold. Abramovich would see Chelsea relegated before he would even consider Mourinho again.

Liverpool: Could be an option but not likely because I don't think they will be in the CL and they've got their 'King Kenny'.

Spurs: I don't know if Spurs are big enough for Mourinho. It's a maybe on this one.

Arsenal: I see as the most likely, see above for reasons why.

So, no chance of you finally changing your User name then?

Pity you can't show the same 'loyalty' to our Manager.

-- Sun Jan 29, 2012 3:53 am --

Ah, right.

And when do you believe Wenger should be sacked?
