Moving Away Fans / SSL3 /2 All City Fans.

You have a great seat there in ESL3 (half way line) but you're not exactly a cauldron of noise up there. Do you intend to be a part of your two ends suggestion or just sit there in the middle of ESL3 in a fabulous seat watching your two ends?

We all know by now the club don't give two fucks about long term loyalty or our craving of old style atmospheres. Even “safe standing” was forced on them by fans due to non-stop persistent standing since before we got to the Etihad. (North stand Maine Road and AA lower of the new kippax).

In SSlevel 3 they only made the away section safe standing because away fans stand all game. Most of SSL3 sit down all game apart from a small section immediately next to the away fans. That should tell you all something. Being next to away fans creates singing and noise.

Filming City fans by police, No player visits to OSC's, Cheesefests, Free Scottish kids tickets to CL games, phone torches, mental PA systems, overpriced everything and a fuck you if you don't like it attitude. Away fans in home areas. The shit transport attitude is also a good example of none of them being arsed how the plebs get there.

It's the profit margins and bottom line only.

On the other hand plenty of City fans, perhaps the majority, just watch the game and will never truly constantly sing etc

Some see the singing areas as another part of the match entertainment to watch but not join in and then moan about the atmosphere and fuck off with ten minutes to go.

Moving fans away from their seats will only piss many people off and two loud noisy ends will never ever happen. Not with the current ticket policies and other stuff mentioned by most match going fans who want a better support, atmosphere or noise.

People watching on telly haven’t a clue what’s actually going on at the club or what attending matches is like.
As you would expect Fish, i wll take the military highground in CBL3 where i can clearly observe the actions of my two ends without obstruction.

Despite a combined age of 800+ my brothers ,mates and i do our very best with singing and chanting.

Some of us have booed the uefa jingle and even bounced the Poznan, but that was several years ago.

You come across as bit of a cheeky oyld fecker, why dont you pop along and join us with some Worthers Oyld Originals.

Yee Haa !!

Think you’ve lost the plot mate, this isn’t me (although we’re like minded on many issues it seems!)

Was thinking about this yesterday at the match.
City had all of ss1 and ss2 in a large block of city fans together. This has been the case many times.

We've also had many league games when the away team haven't taken up the option of the 3rd tier so all the 3rd tier is a large block of city fans.

Can anyone remember a game in either of these situations where the atmosphere was noticeably improved compared to a normal league game where the away team take their 3 tiers because I can't.

Just think that atmosphere at city nearly always relies on the banter with the away team and it's no coincidence that the areas in the ground with the best atmosphere are those closest to the away fans.

As an aside, think the atmosphere will improve when pep decides to leave. Football we play is great but it's not conducive to a great atmosphere.

In my proposal City fans will above them and directly next to them on two sides....even better !!

The benefits (for City/fans) should be very clear -:
1) Two City ends under acoustic roofs.
2) More business/revenue for Legends.
3) H&S - No missiles raining doon on City fans.
4) Away fans doon in shit, wet seats, poor views & acoustics.
5) Low cost/No cost cap-ex,turnstiles, fences/gates exist.
6) No compromise on segregation, safety, access, coaches etc.and,
6) Away fans on the Metro can be directed to alight at Asda and walk across ATW into the 'wedge' where the BoB was, directly into the quarantine zone. That will keep the away from JMW,FanZone,Hotel, CooP along with the team coach welcome area.

It all makes sense !!

I was wavering after the Newcastle game. Got to be honest.

The banter and piss taking from 111/110/109 of the Newcastle fans was brilliant. Just like it used to be in the past.

Hearing the support, noise and atmosphere generated from either side of the Newcastle fans stood in the SSL1 away end was great to hear. It must have been an absolute nightmare for those 1000+ Newcastle fans in the SSL1 away end.

I’ve said it before. There isn’t an away end/section that gets intimidated as much in England when SSL1, 111, 110, and 109 are in full voice. Not one that comes to mind. Can you think of one?

Saying that, I would still like to see all of SSL3 being made a City end with over 1000 safe standing seats already in place. Having NSL2 and SSL3 under specially designed roofs to generate an atmosphere full of City fans would be great, and a real atmosphere game changer at the Etihad, whilst retaining the singing section and 6000 safe standing seats on SSL1.

Here we go again….the 3000 away fans won’t fit in the blocks proposed, we’d need to give them almost half of EL1. Can’t happen, shouldn’t happen, won’t happen!

Here we go again. Arf!

It’s a discussion.

It’s a forum.

What do you expect?

The away fans stay on SSL2. The away fans stay on SSL1. There are just over 1000+ away fans on SSL3 that need moving.

Whether you like it or not, ‘it is possible’ to relocate those 1000+ away fans from SSL3 to current home blocks on L1. It can be done. Fact.

As I’ve said before, the North stand expansion gives the club the opportunity to at least look at that option, regrdless of going ahead with it or definitely not going ahead with it.(in my opinion)

I’ll leave it at that.

1500 on level 3, so we lose 3 blocks pitch side, the most vocal fans who want to be there.

It is bad when the clubs move fans against their will, but daft when a non-season ticket holder starts a thread on it so it doesn't affect him.

Brighton are redeveloping to get less fans pitch side as they players say it gives the away team an advantage. Mu got rid of away fans pitch side are got massive decisions due to it like the Andy Carroll 5 feet over the line and no away fans visible to cheer it.

The back of SS3 is 80 metres from the pitch, not great for the players.
