Moving Away Fans / SSL3 /2 All City Fans.

600 a block SS1 but 110 is a lot smaller.
Good ....

We give circa 3000 seats in a 52k arena and get 2950 at ragland (73k) & arse (61k) & wet spam (60k)

Brentford give us 1200 & we give them 3000.....the rules are bollox.

Give them what they give us.

Sauce for the goose.......!!

No, it's like our SSL3. Away fans have their own entrances, and there is segregation at the top.

Saying that, home and away fans do cross over and mix as they make there way to the away end under the stand. It can get a bit boisterous, and has kicked off on occasions. There are plenty of Police and stewards around. Its a bit like United's forecourt, but under the stand.
....So there is opportunity for trouble !!

Brentford give us about 1,700 it is Bournemouth and Luton which are closer to 1,200.

The rules are the rules, and we can't break them. Do you mind me asking where you sit now, as do you have any skin in the game?

The rules as I understand them are you have to give 10% of capacity or 3,000 tickets to the away team, whichever figure is the lower. There might be a bit of wriggle room over 50 or so tickets due to segregation purposes etc, but we aren’t, under any circumstances going to be able to only offer circa 1,200 tickets to the opposition.

I’m all for having discussions about improving the atmosphere, but this proposal is a non starter as it simply won’t be allowed.

Segregation/safety/logistics will NOT be compromised but enhanced....no missiles raining down on City fans !!
People who throw shit can only throw downwards and not sideways? Aside from there being zero benefit to moving away fans, you've got a perfectly sectioned off away end that allows for the police to contain fans and manage any potential conflict with ease, they're never going to agree to anything that makes their job more difficult.

I can’t see this happening. The quick solution that probably wouldn’t affect many people, is to make the back say 10 rows of ss3 safe standing. Lots already stand there anyway and it would help to improve the atmosphere further down the stand.

Long term we could then think about making the rest of ss3 standing. You’d then have a large kind of home end, with the away fans still there as well.

Its easier to manage fans in 1 ground level section than in 3 sections split over separate, higher levels....yes ?

We’ve already ascertained that the number of away fans displaced from SSL 2/3 won’t fit into the proposed blocks, meaning that most of 109 and 114 would also be needed to create this wall of pitchside away fans. So even more current singing SC holders displaced against their will. 107 would then be next to the away fans (and probably then standing, which the club won’t want) Even more of the ESL 1 concourse and all South exits lost. Major revenue loss for the club, giving away fans premium priced seats vs lower cost SSL3. All this to accommodate some theoretical fanatical singers who want to watch the game from L3, and who have the option to move to the new NSL2 anyway. Given very few people seem convinced of any benefit of implementing this, it sounds unlikely to me (thankfully).

No skin in the game other than to try and help improve the atmosphere in the stadium which, imo, has been generally poor since opening.

That opportunity now arises with the creation of 8000 extra seats in the NS ,and the ensuing migration of fans.

Again imo, these changes, along with those which i've raised, should be undertaken as one project and there is sufficient time twixt to plan and execute it.

The subject of segregation/fans mixing/aggro has been raised on here by a couple of posters but, again imo, at worst the status quo will prevail if not improved.

There are several potential 'flash points' around the stadium ie Metro station, Coach Park/ANR etc, but rarely any serious violence.

The walk back to town away from the stadium seems to be where the lads like to do their boxing.

Most considered & rational decision makers would arrive at the conclusion that the impact of this proposal is risk neutral with the added benefit of eliminating the danger of missiles being launched from SSL3 on to rival (City) fans below.

However, GMP,who until recently were operating under government special measures due to incompetence, couldnt run a bath, and are a slothful bunch of bone idle woke bastards hiding behind red tape and political correctness.

They couldnt recognise a risk free opportunity if it bit their leg.

They will need to be led by the nose and each of their groundless objections demolished by fact, logic and common sense.

Unfortunately common sense isnt very common !!

My seat is136, ESL3, block 305, Row E where my brothers and long time Kippax mates have 13 season tickets.

Two Ends are better than one !!

Happy New Year.
