Moving Away Fans / SSL3 /2 All City Fans.

The rules as I understand them are you have to give 10% of capacity or 3,000 tickets to the away team, whichever figure is the lower. There might be a bit of wriggle room over 50 or so tickets due to segregation purposes etc, but we aren’t, under any circumstances going to be able to only offer circa 1,200 tickets to the opposition.

I’m all for having discussions about improving the atmosphere, but this proposal is a non starter as it simply won’t be allowed.
I know....... but we (and others) lose out both ways and i'm a belligerent oyld bastard !!

We’ve already ascertained that the number of away fans displaced from SSL 2/3 won’t fit into the proposed blocks, meaning that most of 109 and 114 would also be needed to create this wall of pitchside away fans. So even more current singing SC holders displaced against their will. 107 would then be next to the away fans (and probably then standing, which the club won’t want) Even more of the ESL 1 concourse and all South exits lost. Major revenue loss for the club, giving away fans premium priced seats vs lower cost SSL3. All this to accommodate some theoretical fanatical singers who want to watch the game from L3, and who have the option to move to the new NSL2 anyway. Given very few people seem convinced of any benefit of implementing this, it sounds unlikely to me (thankfully).
Faint heart ne'er won a fair lady.

An estmated 2700 fans can be accomodated in 110,111 & 113.

The club and the GMP/Licencing Authority have arbitarily, when the occasion suits them, reduced an away clubs allocation by upto 500 tix to a total of 2450.

This may have peeved the clubs but wasnt objected to by the PL.

Try looking for solutions not problems, things might get done then.

“An estmated 2700 fans can be accomodated in 110,111 & 113” - no they can’t.

I regard this ill conceived plan as the problem, the solution is to abandon it.

We get it. You don't want it to happen.

Maybe you do want it to happen, but you are convinced and adamant the club won't do it.

Which is fair enough.

The new North stand should be operational midway through or to the latter part of next season depending on the construction time table not falling behind schedule.

Not that I think the club will move the away fans from SSL3. But if they do, that won't happen until the 2026/27 season.

Next season will be about selling and allocating seats on NSL2.

One more point.

If the club want it to happen, it can and will happen, regardless of some issues with seating configurations.

As we all know, the club can do what it wants, and has shown that in the past when they have changed seating configurations on tiers, and have moved fans around the ground en-masse.

You’re correct, I think it’s a bad idea. But that’s my opinion (and that of others) which is a subjective opinion. What is not subjective is the number of seats in blocks 110/111/113. As you helped to confirm with your seat count and the 3D map these blocks hold only 1500 ( fifteen hundred) seats. You cannot put 3000 people in the space for 1500 ( well except at the swamp!)

To house 3000 away fans on L1 you need all of 109 and 114. That is the reality people should be asked to comment on.

And others think it's a good idea. :-)

You've lost me.

3000 people in a space of 1500 people?

Current SSL2 away blocks, current SSL1 away blocks, and blocks 111, 110, and half of block 114. Current home blocks. How many seats does that add up to?

109, 110, 111 and half of 114 would be well over 1000 seats. Until an exact count is done on blocks 111, 110, and half of 114, we won't know if any, and how many additional seats would be needed in block 109, if any, to accommodate the away fans from SSL3. ATM it's subjective and a guestimate. Nobody has the exact seat numbers for each block. Get counting on the seat planner ! :-)

Isn’t that why we have a seat counting group…..!
