They got the breaks, and Olympiakos played the better football. But that counts for nothing

Utd's 2nd goal was class. Great goal in by Rooney, and the goalscorer anticipated.

Manolas was asleep, ball watching, jogging back into position with no idea of Van Persie's position. On the other hand Salino on the cover had a full view of everything developing and never thought to tuck in and mark Van Persie until the ball was being crossed. Abysmal defending from them both, easily preventable.

Hard to believe that was last16 in Europe , there was so little quality from both sides.
The Greeks should have scored at least one from the pressure they had in the second half , and to see the " mighty reds " wasting time and trying to run down the clock at home to Olympiacos - hilarious , then celebrating like they'd actually made some great strides.
I suppose given the circumstances it does seem like a great achievement!
