Yes, you will be able to get to the airport in the morning. I urge people to take the S8 and not the S1 when going to the airport if you are staying in the city center. This is because part of the S1 does not go to the airport but splits off and goes on another route. A nightmare if you don`t understand the system and are steaming.

I learned the hard way and ended up missing my flight once. And yes, I was steaming! So S8 all the way lads. On the way from the airport to the town center the S8 is marginally quicker to Marienplatz but there really isn`t much in it. I advise you buy group tickets for the S-Bahn as you might get gripped with no ticket and have to pay a fine. The ectors all speak fluent English and have a field day during Oktoberfest on the airport route.

To go from airport to city centre to allianz to airport do i need the day ticket that costs €10.80?

Yes, I believe so.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mvv-muenchen.de/en/home/tickets/ticketoffers/daytickets/singledayticket/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mvv-muenchen.de/en/home/tick ... index.html</a>

You need a ticket which covers the entire network and the ticket can be used until 6am the following day. ie. buy it on a Tuesday and you can travel back to the airport on the Wednesday before 6am.

The other thing is that you need to validate your ticket before using it. There are little blue machines before you get on the platform or on the platforms where you can punch your ticket to validate them.

€10:80 is for the entire MVV network and is probably the best ticket if you are travelling to and from the airport and moving around a bit re the drinking and the game.
