I`ve just come back from the Oktoberfest. Carnage. I had 3 Mass (3 steins/liters as we might say) and am nicely poised. I arrived at the fest at 5pm and had 3 inside 2.5hrs. Those thinking of launching themselves into it at 11am be fucking warned. I personally don`t think it`s a good idea unless you are planning on not watching the game. It`s very, very strong stuff.

Can totally agree last time I went 21 years ago!! I fell asleep in my 8th stein and had to be carried home, started drinking early doors that stuff is lethal, if you start at 11am you will probably not even be allowed in the stadium you will be fucking legless.MCC said:I`ve just come back from the Oktoberfest. Totally agree. Drinking tactics will be crucial. Each to their own though. Eating and short breaks from drinking are crucial if you plan on starting at 11am and seeing the game and knowing 1% what is going on.

The beer festival prices are usually dearer than on that link- the offical munich beer festival site said beer per litre was set between 8 and 9 euros.
Hope the link prices are correct though!!
