Munich Roll Call

New to the board after reading for a while!

This will be my 4th trip to Munich, by far the my favourite place I've travelled to see us play

7am flight out of Manc and plan to be in Hofbrauhaus square by 12ish
No football fans allowed in the main building last time so hard rock cafe was rammed along with the irish bar,
Anyone else plan to be around there by midday?

Got following email from a girl I know who lives in Munich

When you arrive in Munich you need to buy a ticket for the S-bahn buy a "partners tageskarte" € 20.60 (I think) it is for up to 5 people and will get you anywhere on the s-bahn line until 6.00 am the next morning

Theres only 2 in our party so not sure if best option but what do Blues who have been before suggest for the S Bahn.We are in a hotel near the station and will be going in the Keller next to the station when we get in.Leave Thurs pm.

Take a look at this link

When you get off the plane, and go to the ticket terminal, I found the German Commuters very helpful, so don't be afraid to ask!

2 of us going, should be in Munich for mid morning. 7.15 luthansa flight from manchester. Staying in some shit hole near the main station

Forecast for Wed is 22C and Sunny.

Surely the outdoor Augustienerkeller on Anrulfstrasse is better than the one in the centre?

Got this off a girl I know who lives there.......just throwing it out as a bit of extra info for everyone....

When leaving the airport take the S8 direction Herrsching it is the quickest to the Main train station. The Augustinerkeller is a good place to go, Augustiner in my opinion is the best beer.

On Wednesday morning if you have time (get another partner card, but this time only in the "innen raum" the centre basically then you can use it the whole day. It would be interesting to have a look at the Octoberfest. Should you wish to do this take the u4 from the main train station to Theresienweise which is only a couple of stops - take the Theresienweise exit and as soon as you come up the escalators you will be there.
