OP, if she’s of the age to be going through the menopause (or peri-menopause) and it’s a total change from what she was, I’d tend to think it was what EB suggested.

How long have you been together btw, and when did it start in relation to that time frame ?

i did it and I think if the other person hasn’t been married before then it can sometimes seem selfish if you won’t, anything for an easy life sometimes, but you’re right.

One of the problems with women is that they rarely say what they want outright - they expect you to guess and get increasingly angry when you fail.

Whether women can (easily) guess what another woman wants I don't know, but men are generally shit at guessing games.

Sometimes women (and men, in fairness) just wake up one day and decide they want another life/whatever. But they rarely just say so. They often find fault with their partner to 'justify' their own desires and with a bit of luck, drive him away. It requires a lot less courage than being straightforward.

I can't thank God enough for my wife. When I read some of the stories on here, she's a fucking paragon.

My last one was two faced. If we went out socially then she was life and soul of the party. Everyone saying how charming she is. All I got was a spiteful, argumentative woman who was lazy and workshy.

If I ever meet another and it gets serious then I’m keeping my little flat for me. I’d get another place for us but have another home in case things go belly up.

I own the flat 100%. I’d never buy with a woman now. I more meant we’d rent somewhere bigger together.

A partner would be nice but pretty much everyone I know socially is on their own. That speaks volumes about the control so many have over a man.
