Re: 28k (ish) for Napoli?

Not sold out... disgusting Mancini should be sacked. I never liked Cook either I can't believe we sold/gave away Bellamy, Hughes should still be in charge and I haven't even mentioned the Birmingham match, fancy closing the third tier, you are not true supporters none of you. I blame the Supporters Clubs they should be forced to buy C.Cup tickets since they were given 10,000 for the FA Cup. I'd go but I am not allowed to stand so I'll sit in the pub. If only we had lost a match this season then I really could complain because the formation/team/tactics are all wrong. There I think I have covered every moan that is usually posted. Perhaps we can now get on with grinning from ear to ear about what is happening.

Re: 28k (ish) for Napoli?

It's our first ever Champions League game against a good team & the tickets are cheap. I'll be surprised if this didn't sell out.

In the group stage last season we got:
35212 against Juventus
33383 against Lech Poznań
37552 against Salzburg

Same time of year a few years ago in the League Cup we got:
36358 against Scunthorpe
46015 against Arsenal

28k, haha! I don't know what planet some people are on. I've just been on to get my Dad a ticket near to me and cant get a seat anywhere near me because the whole blocks are sold out and many others are "limited availability". I reckon after the weekend it will almost be sold out.
^^^ Touche. I'd be VERY surprised if the Napoli game got below 40,000.

Reading posts on here and what people have told me, we're looking at 28k at best for Wednesday night I reckon.

Why though?

It's cheap enough and our first ever CL game...I'm not normally one to be arsed about who turns up to a game, but it will be embarrassing if we don't sell out for this.

Admit it, when the CL theme tune plays before the match and you're looking at masses of empty seats round you, you'll feel shite. I know I will.

FFS, how long have we waited for this? and now people can't be bothered turning up.

We have a lot of armchair fans now and plenty of people who are happy with watching in the pub nowadays...why?

After reading posts on here and what people have told me, we're looking for a sell out against Napoli.

See, fucking easy isn't it?

Re: 28k (ish) for Napoli?

Just been on the website to get my mate a ticket and every block has only limited availability. With over a week to go, this will be a sell out or near enough. On a similar topic, I'm 32 now but I'm worried only 10 people will turn up for my 40th Birthday bash. It's a fucking outrage.

Re: 28k (ish) for Napoli?

All i can see on the seat planner is countless unsold seats , we do have just over a week to go but i am still conpletely baffled why so many remain unsold. The prices are excellent (full marks to the club for doing there bit), our first game in the premier club competition against a bloody good team ( ignore this fourth seed nonsence) with players of the calibre of Aquerro, Tevez, Nasri etc in our ranks, playing superbly in the league on the back of our first trophy for 35 years, maybe City fans are just plain odd.

I keep hearing about times being hard but it is not only our fans who are hard up it is every team, would a similar sized club as ourselves have so many unsold tickets if there situation was similar to ours, i very much doubt it.

Re: 28k (ish) for Napoli?

Don't we have a thread like this for every game?

Who cares what other people do?

The only tickets I worry about are my own and my mates/dad etc. Not arsed if the rest of the world chooses to stay away from COMS or if there's 30'000 people locked outside.

Like most of us, I've been at Maine Rd/COMS when it's half empty and I've been there for sell outs. I'm easy either way.

Countless unsold seats? Which blocks?
