From BBC football live

1357: Hopefully Arsene Wenger will elaborate about Samir Nasri's future when this match has finished. Might be a bit tricky to ask him during the next 40 minutes or so.

1355: Reports are coming in from French TV that Samir Nasri's move to Manchester City has broken down. We will try to get to the bottom of that for you... in the meantime, Nasri is putting in a very decent shift in the Gunners midfield.

Agent not getting his money he tells french tv/papers that the deal is off! We ring agent and say here's the dosh sorted

If it has broken down we are seriously lacking in other, quality options. Off the top of my head I can't think of one who is available and is not likely/on the verge of joining someone else

The reason Nasri will run his contract down is clearly because he doesn't want to come to City and will be hoping to go to the 'already proven' sides in Europe. If he did want to go to city then the move would have happened a long time ago
