Nathan Ake

Championship FFP is pretty brutal (May be some leeway with COVID) and Bournemouth probably weren't expecting or planning to get relegated. Wouldnt be surprised if there's a bit of a firesale. You'd think Ake, Brooks and King at least probably at good prices.

It's not that the player can't be good, it's that it seems a waste of a foreign spot.
The back up keeper is tricky because of how they have to be good with their feet. Bravo was supposed to be the #1 but we know of his problems in his first year. But it was worth keeping him as the #2. We saw in the LC final last season Pep say that he played Eddie instead of Muric (Bravo injured) because he needed Eddie for the build up play. He figured Chelsea would press high. So it tells you just how good the keeper has to be with their feet.

If you can find a HG keeper who is that good with their feet and knows they will be #2, then yes sign them. But that just narrows your options. If Eddie goes down then we have a problem similar if not worse than when Laporte went down. I don't mind if Steffen as the #2.

Mind, UEFA rules allow a maximum of 4 associated-trained players.
Now we have: Carson, Walker, Stones, Sterling.

If Aké comes in obviously Stones or Carson would have to leave.
It was said we'd like to keep Carson for another year.

Stones to stay probably means no Aké.
I'd prefer Aké now and would take the risk Stones might shine elsewhere.

The limit isn't on association trained players. the limit is on foreign ones. Once you fill that limit, whats ledt is 8 homegrown, if which (for uefa only) 4 must be club grown.

Nothing stopping yoy having 12 homegrown, if you have less foreign grown players.

Bravo is off this summer too, freeing up a slot. Anyone kept tabs on Muric, could he be around, even as 3rd choice u21?
