I think we should be mindful both Garcia and Laporte have Puyol as their agent. They are primarily here for Pep. Once Pep moves on I expect Puyol to try to get both to Barca. We are already hearing noises about Barca moving for Garcia and press leaks he wants to go there.

Pep is the best tactician in management but he is not always the best with his inter personal skills. It's true Stones has had extensive injury issues but another problem seems to be his mental issues. Under different management Stones might come good again in the future? I suppose it depends how long Pep is likely to manage us, hopefully he'll extend?

I think we will move stones and Zinchenko on but will have to keep hold of otamendi until his contract runs out unfortunately, Ake can then be back up for Mendy. We will have plenty of cover at CB then and Laporte has played LB for us and didn’t disappoint if my memory is correct

Ake can play left back or left centre back though, has played both positions. Plus if we get Koulibaly he is two footed.

This is generally true, but Pep does like players who can play multiple positions because of the shear amount of games, rest, rotation and injuries. So we see Dinho playing CB and in midfield. Cancelo on the left or right. Laporte has played LB and Phil all over the place. Even though it may not be their best position it's sometimes needed.

Think the fact we are linked first to Alaba, now Ake it sounds like we want a player to cover both centre back and left back, we know Pep likes intelligent players and it’s usually the intelligent ones that understand whats required in different positions.
