Carson, Sterling and Ake at the moment send us over the home grown
You're probably right but if whoever we chose was third choice behind Ederson and Steffen/Ortega then would it really matter as they're never going to play.Which one?
Gets said every year. Along with 'Walker can play keeper in CL if needed'.
Has never happened yet, pretty certain won't this year either. We will go with the 17 including the excess HG players.

True but in the unlikely event that it did ever come to that then I'm not sure an academy keeper is going to be that much worse than a 37 year old Scott Carson. They might have to play. It is not unthinkable that both keepers can be unavailable, through injury, lack of fitness, suspension, covid, or a combination of factors.
Depends if we sign a specialist LB like Cucurella imodidn't he say a few weeks ago he wants to stay?
Potentially going to lose two players who can play LB (Zinny & He who must not be named) so can't see City selling a 3rd for that position.
Sterling was not a non starter & whether they were or not, they strengthened our bench. Not replacing them with someone with a bit of pace weakens us.Seems to me like Pep is happy for him to go, he has often said, the only way to keep going and pushing for title after title is to get new players...
Ake, Sterling, Jesus were mostly non starters and probably not perfectly happy playing second fiddle. Chop and change
Biggest misconception going. You could register 25 English players if you wanted toBut for Europe we can only register four English players. Hence, Foden excepted, any more than four English take foreign slots.
As long as 4 are club trained.Biggest misconception going. You could register 25 English players if you wanted to
Letting Ake leave would be a big mistake imo.
This is no ordinary crop of youngsters though, we have some serious serious talent bursting through. They’ve battered all their peers and already outgrown age group football. Use them or lose them.People who think we could replace quality professionals with academy players are naive. We are not a kindergarten, but a top club. We cannot lose too many players because of depth and experience. We need depth. Nathan Ake if he could go, he has to be replaced. The same as Sterling and the others IMO. But better for him and for us to stay.

Long way off yet. He is worth significantly more to Chelsea as a club trained player than he probably is to us. So the fee should reflect thatLetting Ake leave would be a big mistake imo.
Tbh if we get an offer of like £50m-60m for our 4th choice CB, it’s an auto-accept and look at a cheaper replacement.Letting Ake leave would be a big mistake imo.
