Again no one thinks about what the player might want! I said at weekend that as telling as it was that Gundo and Akanji didn’t get minutes, neither did Ake.

He’s a Dutch international who wants to play at the World Cup. Whether we want him to stay or not, if he’s 5th choice central defender then he might get fuck all minutes if most stay fit, so if he can play at Everton why wouldn’t he want the move?

Nico was great last year, but was the first time he’s ever been played in that position? Rico played RB in the youth teams.

I feel like Rico will play RB for longer and Nico is destined for CM minutes. Although a great option for cover, especially a 1 month competition.

I really can’t see us selling Akanji and Ake and not buying cover.
I can see us selling both and getting 1 in, a younger player with potential.

I’d bet on Guehi if I had to.
