Netflix plans

Not really true these days with the latest Mini LED TVs that were released this year. They have the benefit of higher brightness than OLED but without the issues of backlight dimming that plagued previous types of LED. OLED still is slightly better for black levels but theres very little in it now and the extra brightness of LED makes them more suitable for rooms with lots of ambient light.

Yeah MiniLED is a good move forward for sure. But it’s the bleeding edge top range.

HDR only really works on OLED as it really needs the granular contol. If you on a LED tv with backlight it’s all about number of dimming zones. If you’re looking at a single back light then HDR is pointless. You just end up with a washed out image.
Not true, I own an LG Nanocell which is an LED TV and the picture is superb.

Very close to binning the bastards off. Content has gone to shit and they seem to have finally clamped down on account sharing. I pay £15.99 a month and they want an extra fiver monthly to add an extra viewer onto the account. Well I say fuck off and kiss my arse.

I'd say that the prices they charge are highway robbery, making piracy the lesser of the two evils ;)
Don’t exactly see many of these stars on these shows going to food banks either, to me once things go past £10 a month then I have to question is ot worth it, the price of a couple of pints is not much, but when you have Netflix, Apple, Disney, Amazon, Paramount etc etc, if you have the lot and then add in say Sky and BT then you are looking at the cost of a family holiday for the year. Or you can pay £30-70 a year for the lot, tough choice, they go on about how limewire, Napster, pirate bay would kill the film and tv industry, bit its still around and with iptv even stronger. Add the fact in the U.K. we are dictated to about what football we can and can’t watch, we’ll they can all fuck off.

100%

Since the internet opened up there have been corporations using governments to push their claptrap that piracy helps terrorism or such like, the real truth is it's governments who aid terrorism through foreign policies and making deals with bloody terrorists ;)

And yet some people believe the guff.

Addressed above. LEDs are getting better and it Maybe superb but its not got true HDR. HDR needs per pixel lighting, if you cant get that a lot of dimming zones can help to allow small areas of the screen to be lit more than others but still not true HDR.

99.9% of LED tvs on the market just cant get close to HDR.

Id say if you had Netflix/Apple/Disney/Amazon/Paramount why would you even want to bother with Sky.... if it wasn't for the fact that my Broadband was linked to it for now I'd be killing sky. there's only 1 channel we watch that we cant get online(Alibi). the second that changes Sky's gone.

Also, just pay for what ever service for a month or 2 at a time, binge what you wanna watch then shut it down.

Apple, Im on my 3rd 6 month free trial, never paid for it but seen everything I want from it.
