Who is the band of the decade? Not many great candidates really producing top quality stuff over the last 3 years
All of the following have released albums in either the years 2010, 2011, 2012 or 2013:

Death Grips, Tame Impala, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Flaming Lips, Foals, Deerhunter, BADBADNOTGOOD, Arcade Fire, Battles, The Horrors, LCD Soundsystem, M83, My Bloody Valentine, Rolo Tomassi, Vampire Weekend, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Everything Everything, The Knife, Gorillaz, OneRepublic, Fuck Buttons, The Drums, Bon Iver, Beastie Boys.

Try them out. If you still feel the same way, then that's fine - but don't dismiss and miss out.

Have heard a few of them. To be honest, Hurts have been my favourite band over the last few years. Never got the hype with My Bloody Valentine, music press held Mr Shields up as some kind of hero because he is a crank.

St Ettienne have brought out one of the best Albums of the last few years. The new Human League one is pretty good as well. Music seems to be going through a bit of a rough patch at the minute imo. Hopefully there is another.punk or acid house on the horizon

Deccent song, as soon as he started singing I started laughing though. Always reminds me of that bloke that was in corrie called Liam. They could do with a better singer.
Almost word for word what I was going to right. He turned into a vocal caricature of himself about 10 years ago and I can't help but cringe when I hear him 'sing' these days. No wonder Noel got sick of him butchering all his songs and decided to set up on his own instead.

Not a fan of Hurts myself.

I am a sucker for electro pop.
Am thinking of starting to buy the NME again to try and keep in touch with new stuff coming out. I lose track these days to be honest.
