There is no way in hell that a buyout clause benefits a selling club ! Look at Alcantara, he got sold at 28 million because of his buyout clause. Pretty sure Barca would have rejected any approaches for him and even if they would have sold him they would have looked to get more than 28 considering United and Munich were both in for him. Thats my point exactly. Having a release clause is disadvantageous for the selling club. They wouldn't have need to be in this situation. He is really unproven. He has played more than 60 games for Barcelona at such a young age. He is only going to worth more as seasons go by. Imagine putting a release clause on Lopes and then him having a few stellar seasons only then for someone to trigger it at a price which isn't right.

25 million euros. Should have checked before. I think he is worth it but again he has had a injury hit season. Anyways not a thread on Thiago so lets agree to disagree

Club - 35m
Agent - 28m - we have other offers on table
Club (thinks) player not currently worth 28m and we get promising player for at least a year and make decent money back and profit if buy out clause met...
