Fantastic news, not just for his ability but for his desire to win. He approaches every game with the same intensity whether it's a friendly or a Cup Final and I'd guess he's probably the same in training. This was highlighted by a moment in the 2nd half at Wembley when it was 3-0 and Silva was moving forward with the ball but nobody was showing for a pass. Silva tried to go it alone and lost possession and gestured as if he was annoyed with his teammates lack of interest.

Also Silva won't lose much effectiveness as he gets into his 30s as his game isn't defined by pace or power, just his effortless ability to find space and pick a pass.

I was fortunate to have seen Colin Bell and believe me,he was without doubt the greatest City player I have ever seen.
However, likul David is fast becoming on par with Colins true stature of legend,a word that is used too often for my liking.
Different styles of play completely,but two wonderfully gifted players that have both been a pleasure to watch in a City shirt and both true professionals,both on and off the pitch.

Alas Bell was just a little too early for me as I'm 41

I'm sure like many blues my age and younger..would have loved to see Nijinsky in his prime..bet it was a joy..just as Dave is to watch in my eyes

Really impressed with the signing and retention policty since the Barca lads came onboard and the dont seem to be doing too badly in getting decent fees for players
