New home kit?

I was surprised to see the club have 'decided' on blue names and numbers to the home shirt this year. I wouldn't mind if the colour matched the sponsors on the front (which should also be in White) but it doesn't. It's the Premier League 'standard' navy, which makes the shirt look cheap/tacky/fucking vile.

White names, White numbers and White shorts would turn this kit into a classic.

have to agree

also remove the tablecloth from the collar

...

Just spoke to the club and it's official, blue numbers on the home shirt next year. What a
way to dilute a good design.

Any pictures of the shirt and shorts together?

I am not one of those doomsayers and as long as we play well and win I will be happy...

...but that looks horrific.

The more I see it, the less I dislke it, like I did originally.

However, it's clearly designed by someone who has absolutely no feel for Manchester City, its history, traditions and culture.

You could genuinely have spoken to a handful of the more knowledgeable City fans and they could have pointed Tarquin in the right direction.

Was it his school project by any chance?

It all just seems a bit pointless to me.

White logo and sponsor = traditional and looks better

White shorts = traditional and look far better.

So it seems to me that they've made them blue purely on the basis that they haven't been blue in past two kits and the soundwave is just something on the shirt they can make a video about. It's not needed Umbro!

Blue shorts look gash. The shirt isn't too bad, it'd just look better with more white than blue. Hardly moaning, it's true.
