To illustrate my point, look at this diagram and see if you can identify the teams...

I'll bet you can name every single team - as they keep their kit the same!

No if you was to ask someone to illustrate our kit... what do you think they'd do?
I think it'd be this...

So why can't City and Umbro grasp that?
Yeah I understand that, but I got all of the teams in your illustration by looking at the shirts, not the shorts.

I'm struggling with the bottom line...I've got (L-R) West Brom, Leeds, Crystal Palace...then it looks like a Warrington RL kit...?
Boca Juniors

Completely agree with Dario, can you do a version of that City one with blue shorts? I'd think that was Coventry. If there was one with blue shorts and stripy socks I'd think 'I don't know who the fuck that it, but it's wank'.

Some on here seem to think we don't deserve the same respect as the other teams in your picture, I disagree. If Nike turned out a rags kit with red shorts and stripy red socks the "moody lads in black Primark coats" would be outside Nike's HQ causing absolute carnage.

No I didn't. I gave two examples of what I believe to be issues of more importance to City's season than the bloody kit.
One of which was a reference to Mancini's style of play, which he then replied to.

Give over, sweet jesus. Thought better of you.
I'm just pointing out a fact. You asked how Mancini came into the discussion and I'm telling you. And for someone who doesn't understand all the melodrama about the new kit, you're being pretty melodramatic about it ;-)

Im guessing Boca, but you were supposed to say Notts county, (insert team), Dagenham and redbridge..... and so on.

I'm enjoying every second of it ;-)

Respect?! Fuck me, how can white to blue shorts be disrespecting anything?! Also, do you not think the club have a say in this? Umbro would surely have asked for their opinion on it before going to manufacture them. Say for example its Cook and/or the players who said 'yeah boss, go with the blue', have they disrespected the club or just thought 'fuck it, lets have a wee change'?

LOL at all the 'grown men' whinging about a football kit, caning it or defending it! Fuck sake it's a football kit!

Or am i correct in guessing that the average age is 8 or 9ish?

As I've said before, would that be your reaction if we changed the shirts to white? Not one single person has come on here and said they wouldn't give a fuck if they changed the colour of the home shirt.

Would you "LOL" at people whinging that City should wear blue shirts? Afterall, it's only a football kit!

They havent changed the shirt colour so it's a moot point.

I'd say congratulations to Umbro for respecting our history by paying homage to our final season as Ardwick FC.

I don't care what colour we play in as long as it's 'city blue'. It amuses me that so many people care what the shirt looks like or the colour of the shorts are!

I can see it now :

HUSBAND: "darling, can you make sure that my home shirt is clean for tomorrow as i have an important meeting".

WIFE: "Yes dear, although you'll have to wear the navy blue shoes as the brown loafers will clash with the etihad logo".

HUSBAND: "stuff that then don't bother i'll hand my notice in instead".

It's a football shirt, not something to wear to the office, a party or deep sea diving.

There was less moaning when we once turned out in all Yellow at Arsenal..

Now that was bizarre... we all started booing them as we thought it Was Arsenal at first...
This was in the days when the visitors took the field a few mins before the hosts..

-- Wed Jul 13, 2011 12:29 pm --

There was less moaning when we once turned out in all Yellow at Arsenal..

...one of my worst days as a City fan...

I thought we'd forgotten our kit, and were having to borrow Arsenal's...couldn't believe it when we could see the "brother" logo and badge on it...

"I don't care what colour we play in as long as it's 'city blue'"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxymoron

Not sure if that was meant as a deliberate joke or if you just didn't really think before you wrote it. Either way, I think it proves the point that you are arsed what colour shirt we wear. For the exact same reasons you are arsed about that, I'm arsed about the colour of the shorts.

I was there then too. Was that the one when The Shamen played "Ebeneezer Good" before the game? Or was it the one when David White scored 2 in the second half? Both were night matches if I remember correctly.
