just had a quick look at the threads of the moment,and with this one(new kit) and the yaya thread ive come to the conculsion that bluemoon has its fair share of wittering fukwits,i hope this isn't the way its going to be now we are up there with the best,because id happily welcome back swales,ball and the rest to get that old atmosphere back.

So what colour shorts do you like?

not bothered about the colour as long as they are rubber :)

From reading these threads over the years, the general consensus seems to be:

100% want sky blue shirts

95% prefer white shorts
5% prefer blue shorts

40% prefer sky blue socks
40% prefer navy socks
10% prefer white socks

I agree the era you grew up with has a huge influence on which you prefer. My guess is out of the 5% who prefer blue shorts, 99% of them were born in the early 70s.

Cant change things this season and it'll be white next season regardless. We know a lot think white. We know a lot don't give a fuck. Keep going on about the colour of the kit then 'Full Kit Wankers' will evolve into a new sub-species before long.

Gav, seen as you're clearly an intelligent guy with a great eye for design and branding, so I'm really surprised by your take on this. I get the joke about full kit wankers, but surely you appreciate the overwhelming majority on here who are complaining about the blue shorts do not wear them?

The reason people are arsed, is because it's about the identity of City - Blue and White, that is our "brand" for want of a better word. We've had white in our kit for over 120 years, people have become attached to that identity, and many think it is disrespectful to our history to change that without consulting the supporters first.

you know what .... just spent 30 minutes writing a post, highlighting all the counter arguments. Then i just realised, what is the point?

A kit doesnt define who we are. We define who we are.

i'll just say .... you cant change history. Nothing we do affects history. We can create history, thats all we can do. Having no white in a kit one season should have been a sidenote in the illustrious history of Manchester City, now it will be an embarrassing chapter.

We appear to have gone for the worst of all worlds unless I'm mistaken by putting us in the top to bottom single colour outfit.
It reminds me of f*cking pyjamas for god's sake, it's like a romper suit or those unimaginative cheap nylon job lots of 'same colour for everything cheapest stuff you got' that you used to get for Sunday League.

Always loved playing American Football against teams with same colour pants shirts socks and helmets as it gave me the impression they were slow, soft and sh*t.
