I didn't like idea of blue shorts 3 years ago but it grew on me to the point I'm kind of glad they're back.

i'd prefer a 91/92 era kit with white shorts and dark navy socks and it's a bit weird how there's no white involved at all but I don't mind a change every now and then

So would I, so would I. But I think last years looked way cheaper and crappier than this.

Feel like sky blue and white (shorts and socks combos at your leisure) SHOULD BE the Home kit EVERY YEAR, with the away and third kits providing some variations on a theme. In fact, I think HOME AND AWAY COLORS should be pretty set, with the Third Kit being the one that provides a splash of color and/or change from year to year.

I'd be disappointed if the turn towards dark navy/black is SOLELY because it helps the sponsor's name "pop" on the shirt/TV.

Think people forget Umbro did this:

It was a fairly shit kit all in all. Stupid checkered collar and a silly "soundwave of BlueMoon" thing across the shirt. However as an all blue kit at a glance it looks fine.

Umbro then did this:

I mean they couldn't even get the badge right.. so all in all when you compare the above to this it's not actually that bad and not worth getting too hung up about. Whatever we play in doesn't make a jot of difference to football.

That away kit just oooozes quality (not) - you can almost see the static electricity building on that cheap and nasty fabric/plastic.

Can't be arsed looking through the thread. Do we have any info/pics of the shorts and socks? Shirt looks fine to me (tho we lost the title the last time we had dark trim :( )

Don't know if it's been noticed but those two kits look a bit different to me!! One has a triangle inside neck with the perforation holes the other doesn't seem to have the triangle or the holes

Not seen images if the socks or read anything about them do I'm guessing they may be white which will at least put some white in the kit but don't think it would look so good as a whole....
Can't see sky or navy/black (what ever that trim is) socks surly !!

Seems like the socks would HAVE TO BE sky blue with that navy/black top, Shirley?!

When I first saw the shirt, I thought it was pretty decent, but the SHIELD is the deal breaker for me. As I don't wear City shorts (honest!), not much bothered, but that black stripe looks generic pub team kit stuff to me.

I look forward to hearing about fit and material, because the material on the '09/10 and '10/11 were the best in decades!

This club isn't new... it has new owners, and they take it in their direction.

The club will have plenty of different owners, long after Mansour has passed on and fans like you and me are long and forgotten.

The fans are this club... plenty still around long before Mansour was even born.

It was truly one of the worst posts ever seen on bluemoon.

Unfortunately success attracts fans like that.

There have been some passionate and eloquent responses to the prospect of blue shorts next season. If you are of the opinion that they should stay white, and want to do something about it, please sign the petition!

There have been a few examples recently of fan power bringing about change in cases like this, Cardiff City last season for example, who successfully petitioned the club to change their short colour prior to the start of the season, and the Everton badge which fans were successful in amending (albeit a season after its introduction). If enough people show the club we feel strongly about this, I'm convinced we can make a change.
