As this was rejected in November there must have been some lobbying going on so it’s not an independent vote. What would have changed in less than 3 months?

There must have been some desperation for this to be passed, I sincerely hope there’s evidence of meddling from the likes of the Hateful 8 and Masters, the latter is a puppet, his strings are being pulled to some tune, we know his agenda but ffs, what’s in it for him?

Masters is an absolute weapon, we need an independent CEO not this lily livered fucker.

The situation is getting ridiculous. Every PL club is owned by a billionaire but the organisation seems dedicated to guaranteeing that xnone of this wealth should find its way into the game. They are all "fit and proper persons" to own a football club, but not to spend their own money. And major international companies are not to be allowed to decide how much a sponsorship deal should cost them - if they want to spend it where they wish and this doesn't suit. The PL meddlers will decide. It must be "fair market value"! So, if you want to spend it to help a club be more successful, to qualify for the CL and to get your enterprise more exposure, forget it. What the PL wants is a level playing field! But not for Luton or Burnley ... or Newcastle United. And all this is worth trying to ruin the great success story of the last 15 years, ruining one of England's historic clubs and also a twice winner of the European cup. The best interests of football in England are served by disunity, dissension ... and probably the PL dragged before the courts. What a triumph for the regime!

Agree, fair market value on sponsorship is determined by the sponsor.
Companies have sponsored local amateur and semi-pro clubs for decades. I bet most of them never saw any real financial benefits from the deals. But it is entirely up to them how much money they pumped in.

The narrative from the media is all wrong as usual, it’s about us legally challenging the ability of the legal to stop inflated sponsorship when we do not even know if we are challenging it could be someone else or could just be a warning it’s open to legal challenge what’s more the issues is not so much inflated sponsorship or even who determines inflated sponsorship but basically deciding everything is associated party effectively re defining related party

The business about "associated" party transactions being at fair value is already in the rule book isn't it? Last time, was it not about having to have two other bids to support the value given to the "associated" party transaction? Liverpool's "what was the losing bid" question?

Who knows, though? The PL is so bloody secretive, it makes you wonder what they are up to and why at every turn. What harm would it do to announce the rule changes that have been agreed in the meeting, who voted for, who against and who abstained? All we get is leaked information from Martyn bloody Ziegler every time.
