New ST rules & ticket transfers

Apologies if it's been asked before, does the new rule banning transfer between season card holders include cup games?
No. You can transfer to another ST holder for cup games as long as the person you are transferring to doesn’t already have a ticket for the game.

Follow up to this and thanks in advance for your help.

Is it just season ticket holders or anyone with a supporters number that you can transfer too?

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I know a lot on here have talked about having a phone just for the ticket.

Liverpool had a big crackdown recently, and gave out 1000 lifetime bans, but this quote from the Athletic article might frighten a few...

"Almost 500 people were denied access to Anfield when trying to gain access to the stadium with a burner phone, which is often described as an inexpensive, prepaid, and disposable mobile phone used for temporary or anonymous communication."
How is that enforceable? Who stipulates what is / isn’t a “burner” phone? Not doubting the veracity of your information but how would City (or any other club) be able to state categorically that someone is using a burner phone? And what if I chose to deliberately use such a phone out of choice?

For cup competitions, if you are on the Cup Schemes, you will be able to transfer your ticket to:

1) a Cityzens Official Member

2) 1 of your three nominated non-Members

3) a Season Ticket Member not on the cup scheme with no active match ticket.

The quote was directly from the Athletic article. Perhaps the touts accounts were being identified first, and then they were flagging up those tickets at the gates.

I just wanted people to be aware, that if using a phone that's passed around is common with touts, then anyone planning to use that method to 'bend the rules' a little, may well tarred with the same brush.

I'm in the euro cup scheme and I want to buy an extra ticket for a strongly linkd member who can't buy a ticket in their own right. Can I buy the extra ticket then transfer it to them? Can't find any info on this scenario and neither of us want to wast £40 on a nnn transferable ticket.

Any info greatly appreciated, thanks.

ST members on the euro cup scheme can buy up to 3 extra for the Dortmund game. You can assign the extra tickets to anyone on your F&F at the point of purchase.

Trying to get over before Xmas
I take it Match day membership is a pre requisite these days or not needed for CL games? I know someone who's eligible to buy up to 4 for say Leverkusen but I don't know how it would work re physical or email ticket

To all ST holders. You can this month undone in your family and friends 3 non matchday members. Create another free account and add it to your F&Fs you can transfer your ST to this account, it's sent an email with the download ticket link. You can send this to anyone you wish. Take care. City Will We Die

Problem giving your match ticket to a friend? Simple way to get around the new system.

Get another email address

Open a new free city account in another name (for ease I used the Mrs) here:-

Add your new account to your Family& Friends

In October you will be able to add/change the 3 non matchday members in your Family& Friends. Add your free account

When you transfer your ticket to this account City send it via the email address and will give you a link that will let anyone add it to their wallet.

Forward this email for easy use

And NO, to stop the whispers, their is no intention from City to have facial recognition

IT'S THAT SIMPLE
Is this window open to add non-matchday members again?

Hi All, as a flexi-season ticket holder, I was told I can transfer my tickets 3 times, not sure if the restriction is PL only so I can transfer as many times I like for UEFA matches (got UEFA scheme)?

City, if you're reading. You're a f**kin joke. I've spent the last hour trying to work out how I can transfer 2 x tickets to 2 x mates who need tickets and who would like to go and we hit obstacles at every turn.

Why is this so hard?
