Feel we’d be very lucky to sign a CF with Jesus/ Aguero still about.
I think next season will be the time, as we will have a ready made position for a player.
Totally agree. There's plenty other areas that need sorting for now, then go big on a striker next season. Kuns replacement needs to be the dogs. There's too many other gaps to fill this summer (and possibly not anyone of the desired quality available?)

Who out there is worthy of pursuing expect for Havertz and Haaland? And Haaland won't leave this season. I think people are starting to realize how valuable Gabriel Jesus is. Easily an 100m player. Just look at the striker options on the market.

i think the club are using this window to do the squad now if possible due to the financial hit some clubs have taken? City have the silver lake money to keep them going and say spurs are really in the shit then they need to sell kane we will do that deal etc?

Agreed mate and it seems the brief to journalists about a big spend was all about using in a sense our financial clout at a time when others (even the dippers) are finding it hard to navigate through this horrible pandemic? It also puts money into football and if we get it right this summer barring an argument somewhere along the lines then no new signings at all next summer might even happen!

We don't want a stop gap we have Aguero and Jesus next season. Not convinced we'll buy a forward this summer, if we do though it will be a younger one that's got a year to wait for Aguero to move on.Just as unlikely as Harry Kane but how about Benzema as a stop gap? Real Madrid could with the money as well as Spurs

I'm quite sure Aguero will get a injury next season. Since he joined City he have to be in the top amongst strikers to be away due to injury. 81 missed games. Do we feel safe just to have Jesus to rely on if so? We seen B.Silva as a false 9 but nah thanks. Or Sterling?
I would love to have a striker that can switch with Jesus time to time.

Pretty sure the silver Lake money isn't counted as income and is a CFG investment so can't be off set against FFP. FFP is relaxed this year but as I understand only rolled into next year so we can spend this summer but it will reduce next summers spending if we exceed our allowed losses. Iv been talking to my friend who just graduated from university in sports science, i was talking to him about injuries just in convo and he said the injury aguero has may change him as a player, at the age he has sustained the meniscus injury it can be incredibly difficult to recover to your best. its an injury that takes 4 to 6 weeks to heal but the after effects are worse. He told me hes seen athletes that lose power in that leg, a rugby player he had to do a study on did his meniscus and he was a kicker, he lost half of his kicking ability because of the meniscus injury, pace takes ages to come back as well, i honestly think thats why we are looking at a stiker. I love Aguero but hand on heart hope it dosent happen but i think this injury may come up a lot next season, the amount of games we play as well. from what my friend says it only takes a knock/collision for that knee to flare up again, then your out for 2 to 3 weeks recovery again.

He’ll have a 60 million release clause next season. Dortmund had no choice but to accept that when signing him. So it won’t be hundred. There’d just be a lot of offers. It’ll probably come down to who can pay his agent more.
His agent is the reason we won’t be in the running.
