Sadly Torres could not even beat a League 2 defender the other evening so little chance of being a suitable replacement for Sergio. I still believe Raul Jiminez to be the player we need, especially as Wolves have recently signed an extra striker so may be amenable to release him. If not Raul then Costa on an 18 months contract or Danny Ings.

I mean, I don't think he'll ever become our starting striker, but he scored a Hat-trick against Germany. And he did score past Cheltenham.

My biggest frustration is that we seem reluctant to put Delap on the bench, you can never tell with young players but he could hit the ground running and save us a fortune, It happened over the road with Rashford and I cant see what there is to lose.

The MOST important reason why we should go nowhere near him however, is we now play with VAR and his anti sportsman, viscous and cynical play (It's built-in and would never change) would see us finish most games with 10 men.

I don't mean to flap but I believe a striker in January is essential, liverpool are on the ropes and the rags are looking confident. Dzeko on loan even just to give us a focal point.

What about Belotti? Has 9 in 18 with 5 assists, scoring 16, 15, 10, 26, 12 in his last 5 seasons. Basically a 1 in 2 scoring rate at a mid-table team. Very consistent, hasn’t missed double figures for 7 years. His contract finishes in 2021 so could be really cheap.
